first off, unless you have any skill like mullins, then don't speak of who should be on the team from Lafayette or whatever. and it wasn't vacation, it was to play games. and as a player, if i had to choose between going to argentina to play, or in my state cup final, i would choose argentina. that's practically a once in a life time opportunity that you just don't give up.

WHAT! first I think Mullins should be on the all-state team but to say we can't talk about him and the all-state team unless we can play like him, WHAT! I guess that means you can't post anymore about it either! I don't think anyone said to take him off and put a lafayette kid on in his place and if I missed it and someone did they are CRAZY. Looks like only Mullins can get on hear and talk about himself right nell15!?

i wasn't meaning it it as we can't talk about Mullins if we can't play like him. but to say that he doesn't care about HIGH SCHOOL soccer because he is committed to a higher rank is asinine.

The corrections to the all-state list due to clerical errors just expands the problem. Now there are 4 forwards and 6 midfielders and only 3 defenders. The forwards and midfielders get all the glory during the season with their goal scoring and the gk get glory with their saves, but the defenders only get the knowledge they played well and the occasional thank you from the gk. There is little ever posted about great defense (can't tell I love a good solid defense), it mostly focuses on scoring and perhaps defense in general, rarely individuals. now it appears the forwards and midfielders get one of the defender all-state positions too so more players can be all-state at forward and midfield. Doesn't sound too fair to the hard working defensemen who have to try and stop all those great forwards and midfielders. Something to think about. I guess all those defenders need to start promoting themselves on the board so coaches know who they are and maybe they can be selected for honors as defenders or maybe even forwards if they ever played that position in their career. This has nothing to do with anyone on the list not deserving something it has more to do with those non-glory guys on defense being left off and more glory positions added. If I played defense, I would be disappointed in the coaches. It must be hard enough to get boys to play those positions without this mess.
Anyway it is over for this year (unless more clerical errors are found) and I wish all the hard working boys who practiced everyday for 3 months congratulations on completing their soccer season. For the seniors good luck wherever you go, jr and soph, look forward to watching you next year and hopefully the coaches learn from all the wisdom displayed on this board!

I knew someone would say him and he's probably the only one, but I think any decent coach would find a way to start all three.

To soccerjunkie: Your posting had nothing to do with this topic and has been deleted. If you have problems with a coach, please talk to him about what concerns you. No need to take your personal issues and post them on a public message board.

no they shouldnt have they didnt even start Thomas started every game at right back. Michael and Zach played behind Mullins and Cabos, name a player in the state who would start over those two. I'm sure they're great players if they get time in jesuit's midfield, but bench players, no matter what team they're on, don't get all state. The only exception would be if someone came of the bench as the first sub man like manu ginobli does for the spurs

Maybe not over either of them, but he would start. I agree with hideki, a good coach would find a way to start all three of them. That would be a crazy good midfield.

all you'd have to do is put mullins at forward and the others at center mid.
