Chad, Great tournament! as always. Best of luck to you all and the rest of the teams for the rest of the tournament. We had to make a very tough decision, to pull out of the quarter finals, after our 3rd game with St. Martins. We started the tournament minus three starters and it got worse from there. By half time of the St. Martins game we only had four starters in and had emptied the bench including three 9th graders that I called up on Friday to help us out. At the end of the game my coaching staff approached me and asked me what to do- because of all the injuries. I told my coaches that I would talk with our team and let the captains meet with them and let them make the final decision. We talked in the corner and I told my guys that I was proud of the way they fought and never gave up. I told them that whatever they decided (I would not have a problem either way) it needed to be quick so that I could tell Chad and make sure that another team had the chance to replace us. I walked away with I my a ssistant coaches and let the boys decide. With our first district game scheduled for Wednesday, I pretty much figured what their response would be. And they did tell me it was hard because I have coached them to never give up. Today's decision was hard but I feel that it was the right one.
We saw some great teams and got to play against three of them. Beau Chenne, Loyola and St. Martin's. Best of Luck to you all the rest of the season.

Copa Acadiana: Quarterfinal
B1 vs. D2
Ruston 0 - Alexandria S.H. 2 (OT)
Alexandria played a great game and best of luck to them. My boys ran out of gas. 4 games in a day is tough and all the teams that did it deserves a lot of credit. Great tournament and Chad did a great job trying to make it work.
