As much as I hope against it, I'm going with JHS 2-1 (would I go so far as to say 3-1...? Probably not!) over SPS...and wish I was there to witness the battle! I hope I am wrong on the score...

Would love to see the upset but I don't see the Jays going down today.

Have watched both teams. Saint Paul beat Brother Martin on a controversial call which resulted in a PK. There is no way they can beat Jesuit. 5-0 unless Jesuit coachs calls the dogs off.

I'll be pulling for St Pauls, but the J's win this one by 2 or more. Besides I want the J's to lose in the playoffs so I will hold my gris gris until then!

Typical of this 2009 soccer season, the rain is falling. Hopefully the heavy stuff will hold off til after the final. The turf will be slick, but no mud.....

Coach Collins is working towards his starting 11 and is settling on a substitution pattern for district play. Jays will win 2-0, a remarkable feat in coming off a 6 game tournament in Florida and beating the 6A state champ in the final game. Petrou and Culotta are having exceptonal years up top and Jordan Schwartz has been dropped back to anchor the defense with Brignac, Barbera and Hart. (People should also start paying attention to Brother Martin which is quietly putting together a great year)

Tchfuncta, can you confirm the lineups in the NLC, EA, and STM games were not the full starting 11 at all times? Curious minds...I know there were starters on the field, but wasn't sure if all were.
Seemed like a good time to experiment coming off the Florida trip.

1-0 Jays
only 4th shot of game
goal kick by wolves sent back in on first touch with lofted ball. Sps defender faces own goal to clear it back over his head toward MF. Misses ball - jays run on and finish it.
20 left. Free kick from Jays just wide right as attacker slides In for redirection
