Since I have not attacked anyone personally and have congratulated Jesuit on its victory, I feel I have to respond to comments regarding my maturity. I have posted the videos showing the infractions leading to the penalty kicks in an effort to show that a) a reasonable person could see how the hand ball call was warranted and b) the Lafayette player kicked the ball first before the Jesuit player was going down. I know very well that this will not change the outcome of the game. Only LHSAA has to power to do that. I merely wanted to demonstrate that an objective observer could reasonably come to the conclusions proposed above. I do not post here in an effort to regain some past glory. I post here to support my team, the Lafayette Lions for whom I have three sons who play or played, and the sport of soccer in general. I find the homophobic comments made by anyone on this board despicable and reprehensible. There is no equivalency between not remembering twenty years down the road who won what trophy and carrying the memory of the brotherhood and comraderie you shared with your teammates for the rest of your life. As someone wrote on this board, trophies rust but the friendships endure. I know that at 50 years old I can still count on my former classmates if I should need their help and they know they can call on me in their hour of need. I know my sons have forged the same bonds with their teammates and I do not believe that they have not amounted to much because they have not brought home a particular article of jewelry.

I was trying to write a word which means deserving to be despised, but since the four letters in the middle that have been replaced by Irish Fro can be interpreted as a racial slur for people of Hispanic origin, I guess some sort of filter on the site made it come out like that.

I guess this affirms that the censor on this board is not a cajun. Enjoy your hot and spicy crawfish, Mr. Censor

Were you trying to type "desp icab le"? I must say that this is one of the dumbest filters. I think it is fine that this particular word is filtered but to replace it with "Irish Fro." Lame Timaeaus. Totally lame.

Are you saying that the bonds of brotherhood formed at a New Orleans Catholic high school are somehow less than those formed at any other high school? Not likely, and no I don't have any ties to Jesuit.

I'll let LafayetteDad explain how I misunderstood. If I did, that's great, thanks for your help.

Does daddy have to speak for a fifty year old man? or is this just another example of being a "Board Jester", hilarius stuff.

I was refering back to one poster who implied that there was a contradiction in the fact that some players were saying that one the one hand they would not care twenty years from now who won did not but claimed on the other that they were proud of the bonds they created. I wanted to post my remarks this morning on the other thread, but it was locked, so I created a new thread. I noticed later that this thread had been moved and locked. Now both are unlocked.
So to be clear, yes, I believe that Jesuit has a close knit brotherhood and that it is just like every other group in a similar situation.
Oh, and Bish Daddy, can I have the car keys, please?

Nice try at a cheap shot, but I was right about you coming to a ridiculous conclusion and it is obvious that you are just having trouble accepting that.

I love tacos too. And, I can't stand it when people have "soft" tacos. I mean, what is that? Tacos are supposed to be in a hard shell, and crunchy. Not soft. Soft tacos are for wimps, like Everton players.
