Possibly our last show because of a lack of corporate sponsorship. If you like the show, please make an effort to help us stay on the air.

I get another chance to broadcast tonight thanks to God and a specific donor. Tonight we will discuss the new playoff format and who coaches should and should not schedule. We also will talk about the specific nominations for all-state and why they should be considered. Very good idea that you call to promote who you think the LHSSCA should vote for. We are on live at 504-577-3131.

Great program tonight. Thanks for the shout-out.
I would like to add that the more successful referees are typically the result of strong mentorship and development programs. Areas such as Baton Rouge and Lafayette, and more recently Houma, have dedicated programs that produce noticeably better referees to send to state level competitions and beyond.
One last point...what coaches, parents or players may perceive as a poor performance or decision could also be the correct practical application of LoTG, Guide to Procedures or Advice to Referees. There is no super-secret referee book...all of our guidance and memoranda are free on ussoccer.com for download. Example - after a goal is scored, the attacking team should not run into the goal to retrieve the ball. It is not their restart and time is not "lost", but added as appropriate at the end of the half.
