Waiting on confirmation from Haynes...
32nd spot will be announced this week... one candidate is a definite Premier Bracket team and the other team would be a great addition to the Gold Bracket.
I will finalize the 32 team field this coming week... I plan on announcing the Premier and Gold breakdown sometime this summer!

Released the divisions of the teams into Premier and Gold!
Getting closer!
If you didn't receive your registration packet via email, let me know ASAP! It is due back. Nov 8. If I don't have it back or some form of communication confirming your participation, I will have to replace your team with a team from waiting list.
Thanks Chad

Here's what I expect to see.
Premier Division
Group A Beau Chene (A) Bolton (B+) University (B) St. Michael's (C+)
Group B St. Louis (A) Teurlings (B+) E.D. White (B-) Lakeshore (C+)
Group C Episcopal BR (A) St. Thomas More (B+) East Jefferson (B-) Country Day (C)
Group D Northlake Christian (A-) Vandebilt (B+) Newman (B) Loyola (C+)
Gold Division
Group A Neville (C) Episcopal Acadiana (C-) Morgan City (C-) Opelousas Catholic (D+)
Group B Lutcher (C) DeRidder (C) Rapides (C-) Catholic PC (D-)
Group C Menard (C) St. Frederick (C) Opelousas(C-) De La Salle (D+)
Group D Westminster (C+) St. Martin's (C) Dunham (C-) Hannan (D-)
A blind shot in the dark with these. But from what I know, which is very little, this looks like the most fair and non-conflicting that I could see.

NOTE: Country Day must drop out due to lack of players until football is finished and their football team is a 3 seed in playoffs so its a strong possibility that they will be in state semifinals and miss Copa, therefore they would only have 7 players. Should announce a replacement team today... probably bringing a team up from Gold division to Premiere Division and add a new team to the Gold Division...

We have replaced Country Day in the premier bracket with Menard who along with Lutcher were the last two teams not included in the first draft as all other teams asked to be placed in gold division. Menard is the choice due to the lack of Div III teams in the Premier Division and will lead to easier bracket creation. Brackets should be released this coming weekend as I pretty much have all of the groups decided upon and somehow I did avoid all regular season rematches in the premier bracket for the first time ever. Gold bracket was a bit easier to group. Girls was harder than gold, but I think I got it right. Looking at adding a few girls teams next year so we can do 2 divisions as there seems to be a bigger gap from the top 5-8 teams and the rest so everyone would benefit from two divisions, I also had to turn down two amazing girls programs due to already having my full 16 teams.
Also... North Vermillion 2013 (Div III Regionals) has been added to the boys gold division to replace Menard who went up to Country Day's spot.

Looks good, I think BC, ST Louis, teurlings and northlake all advance. Lakeshore or Bolton are my sleeper picks to upset that order. if episcopal baton rouge gets full strength before copa, they also could. group c is definitely hardest group. then I would say a or b. group d looks like its made for a northlake run, although stm could win it too.

All groups look like any team could advance and this year should be filled with great match-ups. My predictions for this years teams advancing are Beau Chene, University, Episcopal BR and Northlake. Advancing from the semi-finals will be Beau Chene and Episcopal BR and i think that BC will win COPA for the first time in its history.

Had to replace two Gold Division teams (St. Fred's & Hannan) that both dropped cause of lack of players due to football. Next year, we will go with LHSAA contracts as part of our registration process so I will not have this issue for a fifth year in a row with under two weeks to play and the schedule already out.
Pleased to announce that Country Day will now be back in Copa as football team was eliminated last week and also very happy to announce that North DeSoto will make their first Copa appearance ever! Always love to see schools that aren't as known as others, but on the rise, make an appearance at Copa! Welcome to both teams and thanks for saving us at the last minute!
I also moved St martins to another group in order to avoid rematches from the two new teams and balance the groups.
I will post schedule tonight...
