Here's a random piece of trivia I found reading through some old papers recently:
In 1982, construction began on the current St. Charles Catholic Stadium using steel pieces of the old Tulane Stadium that the school bought after it was torn down. Today, the home section of the stadium is made of that Tulane Stadium steel. So when you go to a game there, you're sort of in a stadium that hosted 40 Sugar Bowls and 3 Super Bowls.
