I think Country Day called heads that game. Totally against the grain: usually a tails team but not that game, no sir.

You may "know it for a fact," but CD fielded exactly the same lineup that played against, and beat, St. Martins a 4-2 week later. Excuse were not made after the game which was extraordinarily intensely played, and it doesn't matter. But just for the record, what you say isn't true. I dare say both CD coaches on the field at the time would confirm it. However, at COPA a week earlier, CD was indeed quite shorthanded... Question: Why is this so important? The question is why is it so important to you, a year later, to rewrite the facts and assume you, as a coach of another team, know CD's team better than I? Oh, by the way, here is a quote from your post about the January 18th 2013 Lusher vs CD game which CD won 1-0: "I saw the latter part of this game, 2nd half. The impression that immediatley stood out to me was how much Country Day has appeared to have improved on the defensive end especially, from earlier in the season. One reason is the play of Teddy Benjiman's younger brother.. At times I thought they had dressed Teddy out illegally... even looks like him. Very good on target heads, accurately delivered at feet of teammates." The player you refer to in the quote, who is not Teddy's younger brother by the way, played that way all season AND was just one of the CD starters who was unavailable for CD's November game against Haynes. The reason he stood out to you in January was because he didn't play against your Haynes team so you hadn't seen him play. There were other starters out against Haynes, including other starting defenders, which is why CD's 'improved defense stood out' to you so much in January. You hadn't seen the same team, let alone the same defense, in November against Haynes.

I'm not sure why a friendly from last year matters but no matter who was or wasn't there Haynes won 4-0. And Episcopal BR won state, so it looks like CD and Haynes were missing studs when it mattered.

Beau Chene #1? They are the Stoke City of D2. Thank God we aren't Portsmouth! Last year we were the NY Jets and I was Rex Ryan, so I guess I'll take Stoke City... At least its a soccer team this team! Might be what we need to take that extra step Pompey!

The Times Pic did a preview article on Wedensday. I probably should've linked it to this thread (so here it is). Poised to Return
