I am looking for advice on what the procedure is for unplayable fields due to cold. If AD / home teams says the field is unplayable, obviously, there is no game. But, if they say the field is playable, but the refs disagree, what happens? Do we get the teams out, start game and immediately blow to stop it? As soon as game starts, referee is in control. So, if you disagree, start game and then suspend due to unplayability. I'm sure there's a rule somewhere that I may remember to look up.... |

This is actually a test question.
Realistically, if there is any question, the referee crew should meet with the AD prior to the game and get it sorted out. It is pointless to bring the teams onto the field for 1 second of play then suspend the game.
If two of the three positions of adult leadership present (referee, administrative rep, coach) can't come to an agreement for the good of the game/kids, we probably have bigger issues at hand.
