Anyone have updates on which games are happening tonight in lieu of tomorrow? Times? Check the bottom of my Google Doc. That has the current updated schedule for tonight.
It was too complicated to change the schedule on the spreadsheet.
All scores in the spreadsheet are final, however.

Thanks to all the teams that came out.

Please review the winner of the boys varsity red bracket. Were only the 1st 2 games counted? That's how we had to do it unfortunately. Some of the scores came in later than others, and in the chaos of things it's possible I gave the trophy to the wrong team. I know the boys red division bracket wasn't working correctly on the spreadsheet so I had to do calculations manually and it's possible I made a mistake. I know Terrebone on particular was asking about whether they won a trophy or not. If that is the case, I will personally pay for the trophy, as it was my mistake that robbed them of it. The rain today just came out of nowhere and ruined everything. To add insult to injury, the power went out, so we had to pick up everything in pitch darkness.

So was there a winner declared in black division or each group, had a winner? Or just leave it as a wash out? I feel for you guys as they tournament was set up great as always and I loved our group of death black division group. A good game, despite our first half, against EDW while we were still sleeping off the bus and scored a goal to win over a very good and underrated EDW team. A scoreless draw against a scrappy Cath NI team that is much, much better than the one I saw before they got football back, which I assume is being the difference. We played great and should have put in at least two of our open net shots. Still, a good team as always from coach Francis. And our rainy game vs St Louis started out as wide open as you can get... 2 goals and each team with 2 other solid chances in just 6 minutes of play before the blackout. These two team, despite playing 2 games were in great spirits, and we're both out to prove themselves against each other. The respect we have for St Louis and their program always does that to us (except a certain day a couple,February's ago). Wished we could have finished it. At the rate it was going, it might have ended in a Pompey prediction of 9-7! Got to see three great teams and my only regret was not getting a goal in our really great play against Catholic NI and perhaps some uncalled for fouls and mouthing from both teams in that game with my good friend "time to retire"doing the match. He did a great job even though I didn't agree with every call he made (which coach ever does?), he is still one of the best around and I'd gladly have him call my games any day. Good tournament... Sorry for the rain Paul! Keep up the great work and keep on kicking man! Good luck to EDW and Cosch Bimah, Cosch Francis and Catholic NI, and of course Coach O and his Saints as they go for number 11! Now it's time to be done with tournaments and win these important non district games remaining along with our district of death (don't let the records fool you, Westgate win their group, today, Opelousas has 7 wins and STM and Teurlings are still STM and Teurlings! We have. Our work cut out for us and playing through adversity vs EDW today, learning how to play great 1-2 touch ball vs Cath NI but not finishing and how it can almost cost you (a valuable lesson) and our 6 minute wide open slippery as super fast action mini match against super power St Louis gave us a great weekend of work! Thanks to all 3 of yiu and best of luck till we meet again! Thanks to all and see you in the future!

Ya'll have definitely had bad luck with the weather the last two years. But, on the bright side ya'll have been able to get a lot of soccer in each year before the weather closed in. And the law of averages says ya'll are due for a great dry weekend in the coming years.

Unfortunate for Coach Fletcher to have to cancel yet again. Paul really puts a lot of heart and hard work into making this tournament a great experience for everybody. I know he's probably very disappointed today. Good decision to cancel, and probably driven by last year. Last year the rain really didnt move in till Saturday and the games were played in the mud, making the field conditions very bad. Burbank didnt ever really recover into the spring, and it made playing and training out there a lot less fun.
While ACH didnt participate in this tournament, many kudos to Coach Paul for communicating to everybody regularly and keeping every team current on developments. Paul is a quality guy and a he deserves lots of respect for his efforts

Coaches, players and parents- very sorry for another rough finish to the Holiday Cup. It started out great with nice with games n track and flowing right on schedule. We made adjustments to try and get in as many games as we could forseeing the deluge today. However, the rain hit late around 10pm then the lights turned off automatically and we never got to finish. We just got back from hauling trailers. Special thanks to all my players (Boys and Girls), parents, refs and everyone who pitched in. I will be back later this evening to figure out winners and how we can determine the winners. But for now I need to take my wife to brunch. She busted her tail and we need to step back and catch out breath for a few hours. I was crushed after the rain hit and lights popped off. But I don't give up easily. We will be back next year to do it again.

Not sure if this has been overlooked or not, but E.D. White and Catholic of New Iberia played to a 1-1 draw in their 3rd game at the Holiday Cup. The score was posted to Max Preps, but doesn't seem to show up on this site.

The score was posted to Max Preps, but doesn't seem to show up on this site. Did it get to halftime? What time was it played? Cause all the 10:15 games were considered cancelled cause it didn't make halftime. Beau Chene and St Louis were also tied 1-1 in a high flying fun 6 minutes of action before the blackout.

Not sure if this has been overlooked or not, but E.D. White and Catholic of New Iberia played to a 1-1 draw in their 3rd game at the Holiday Cup. The score was posted to Max Preps, but doesn't seem to show up on this site. Did it get to halftime? What time was it played? Cause all the 10:15 games were considered cancelled cause it didn't make halftime. Beau Chene and St Louis were also tied 1-1 in a high flying fun 6 minutes of action before the blackout. The game was also reported to the LHSAA.

This game was one of the very few 3rd games played and completed on Friday night. I messaged both coaches and it is confirmed as a 1-1 tie (final score). Happy New Year to ALL! I will be wishing (and praying) for great weather next year! Thank you for your patience.

Paul is a quality guy and a he deserves lots of respect for his efforts Thanks Ray. Appreciate the compliments. It was a heart break to have have the rain hit and lots go out at the same time. A tournament director's nightmare.

Does the games that were being played before the light out still count? Did your game make it into the 2nd half?
