cuttysark I think you are right. However I dont think Mullins should have been on the roster this year. He just doesnt have the experience yet. With that being said I'd be willing to put some money on him making his national team debut within the next two years

I haven't really paid much attention to the MLS since May when the World Cup got in gear. I was stunned to see that the Revs have LOST 8 matches in a row since then!
They were the hottest team in the league in May. They haven't earned a single point in over two months. They are a few losses away from setting an MLS record.
What happened to New England? They can still earn a playoff spot, but if they don't turn things around Jay Heaps will almost certainly get fired.

Revs beat Colorado 3-0 yesterday to finally snap their losing streak. Hopefully they can use this to turn things around and make the playoffs.

With our move to PA (and Andrew's to NC State), we've had minimal time as well. Just catching up on some items. MLS Rookie Watch: It looks like the Rankings come out on the 1st Thursday of every month. On July 3, Patrick slipped to #2 and Harrision Shipp moved up to #1. The next update should come next Thursday (August 7). Here's a link to the page where all of the previous articles sit & I expect the new ones to show up there as well. Rookie Watch

Shipp is having a stellar season I remember seeing him in the Notre Dame-NC State game last year & he stood out. Very impressive.

So it seems Mullins recently got his first start in almost two months. He recorded an assist a few games back. But it seems Charlie Davies is getting the majority of the minutes.
Still having a good year and getting some decent playing time.

Patrick came on late for Charlie Davies and missed a good chance to win the match late for the Revs.
Nevertheless, the Revs clinched a playoff spot with a 2-2 draw against Montreal today, which didn't look possible three months ago. Jermaine Jones has helped them a lot. Lee Nguyen should get a look from Klinsmann soon.

Jermaine Jones has added some much needed experience to the Revs. Now they are set to play in the finals against LD and the gang. Will Mullins see the pitch?

Mullins just assisted on the equalizer with 10 minutes left. On ESPN right now.

Patrick is on his way to the Bronx to play with David Villa and Frank Lampard at NYC FC. Jason Kreis is the best MLS coach besides Bruce Arena in my opinion, and I think this could end up being a great move for his career. Hopefully he will have an even better year next season.
The thing I love the most about MLS is how truly balanced it is. You see the two expansion teams, NYC FC and Orlando City SC, come in and build fantastic rosters right off the bat. I wouldn't be surprised if one or both expansion teams make the playoffs in the weaker Eastern Conference next season. Looking forward to it.

Who would've thought that a guy playing in the DI State Championship just a few years ago would go on to play with legends like David Villa and Frank Lampard? Good for him, Jason Kreis definitely knows what he's doing and chose Mullins for a reason. It should be an interesting season for NYCFC.

Just reading through this and threw up in my mouth just a bit... Jason Kreis is the best MLS coach besides Bruce Arena in my opinion, love Kreis... He is up there, but Bruce Arena? Every time he won an MLS title it was cause of super loaded teams that were by far better than everyone else, not cause of his management. LA buys championships in MLS. The best manager in MLS is Dominic Kinnear. Not even close. No one does more with less, year in And year out then Dom. So sad to see him leave Houston... But Owen Croyle replaced him so.... I gotta love that hire! An EPL manager in charge of the Dynamo... One I've always respected. But for the past decade plus, no one has been better in the MLS than Dom. Kreis is good and has a high ceiling! But Bruce arena.... Get that garbage old dinosaur out of here! Even when he was USA manager, he wasn't the real coach. Sorry young Michael... I usually agree with you, but this time, you're wrong colonel sanders!
