Premier- Caddo #4 was on the ground, he was clipped leveled as he was making a pass. I can see if #4 still had posession and momentum then advantage should be given, but not when he's on the ground grabbing his ankle. Like I said mistake on Magnet too. Caught off guard waiting for a whistle, allowed the quick counter.

Advantage is not determined by whether the player who was fouled or not has the advantage, but whether the team had the advantage. If Caddo had "2" passes after continuing toward goal then lost the ball it is their fault for losing the ball and the advantage given to them, not the referee's fault.

Whatever the case may be, goal or no goal, FHS got the results they came for. Pretty even match between both teams.#7 and #23 for FHS stood out to me. #23 kept the backline very solid giving the keeper few chances to make saves. #7, if given the space, seemed to be quite dangerous. #4 and keeper for Caddo impressed me. All the players left everything they had on the pitch. Best of luck to Fontainebleau on their playoff run.

Sure be nice if the team winning and losing could just be gracious rather than coming up with reasons why one won, one lost, how it's the refs fault, how the better team lost, how weather impacted the game, etc.
Congratulate and move on!

I think you misunderstood here. No one is blaming the ref or the weather here. Just some clarity of laspectator's in game report of that sequence of play that was brought up in the discussion.

I totally agree, Futbolmaniac. Both teams played with all their heart last night in less-than-ideal conditions. My only reason for trying to explain was that I didn't want the impression to be that a missed call was the difference in the game. In actuality the way it was handled was correct. Overall I think the refs did an excellent job -- let the game be physical as a playoff game will be, reined it in when necessary, and communicated well with the players. By the way, there is a nice photo gallery on the Shreveport Times website today from the game: Photo Gallery

That is correct. #26 obviously fouled #4 near the sideline ..no call. Magnet players hesitated (waiting on the whistle) but play continued Magnet connect like 2 passes & lost the ball- Magnet caught off guard FHS countered and scored. Mistake on ref's part, play should have been stopped. Mistake on Magnet also ...always play till you here the whistle.
That doesn't sound like a mistake on the referee's part, he saw that the player was continuing with the ball and therefore correctly gave an advantage call. The referee is focused on the immediate play where the foul occurred and saw that the player fouled maintained possession and was able to continue play forward that was advantageous to himself. The fact that 2 passes got off after the foul only reinforces that this was a correct call.
Hi, I'm #26. I'd just like to clarify that the player on the sideline over exaggerated the contact I made with him. It wasn't a terrible if a foul at all. But what bothers me is how no one made a comment on the fact that right after my goal from the counter attack after my "foul," that a player blatantly dipped his shoulder and ran through me. Intentionally trying to hurt me seeing as how he hit me after the play was over, and he only received a yellow. Only thing that mattered was the nick of ankle that made a kid flop.
