I agree with you but they are close enough to not spend night for prelims so it all balances out in that regard.
We also never know what could happen. Alexandria and Gonzales both give it their all every time they step on the pitch. So I am not counting them out.

Find it interesting that u14 girls is the only one with games next weekend that has bracket posted on schedule. Guess they are trying to show that it is set. Maybe we will get our schedule early too Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using proboards

If it makes you feel any better, we don't have our schedules yet either.

I just found it ironic that ours was only one that had brackets. Not expecting schedules til early next week.

This past weekend at Lafayette, I enjoyed a pretty good 1/2 lb burger. Off exit 92 Duson/Mire on the southwest corner of the interchange inside a gas station, just north of the Super 8. It wasn't a name brand place and it's definitely not somewhere you'd think to go for a good burger but this place was pretty good and cheap.

Hmmm. Will have to try that. Next time you are here- need to go to Billy's and get boudin balls stuffed with pepper jack cheese.

This is how competitive Comp 2 was.
Number one seed did not advance. The two finalists were the lowest seed teams in the bracket with the lowest seed eventually winning in OT or shootout.
I wonder if the U14 Comp 1 bracket will be as competitive.

I would say that it was pretty competitive.

It was very competitive for four of the teams- one of which did not advance. Congrats to the winner.
Not really surprised, from league results that team looked like they were clearly head and shoulders above the remaining comp 1 teams.

THat is the problem. YOu are never going to have a set number of c1 teams. It shoudl be more flexible rather than always have six.

I agree with myarsenal. Leave it flexible, but make better decision for State Cup Prelim brackets. I also think that next years U15 C1 bracket is going to have a lot of talented teams and be extremely competitive.

Some of the scheduling was really crazy this year, especially in the older brackets. Look at the U18 Girls C2 bracket, which was a 5-team round robin on prelims weekend. It was spread out over 3 days of Memorial Day weekend, which was good -- but some teams were playing 4 games in 24 hours. Mandeville's girls played at noon and 6:30pm on Saturday, then at 8:00am and again at noon on Sunday. Every game they played was against a team that was playing their first game of the weekend -- so their 4th game in 24 hours was against a fresh team playing their first game of the weekend. That's dangerous from a health and rest standpoint, in addition to being extremely difficult in a competitive sense as well. I have no connection with that team, but I would like to think that nobody would have to go through that again . . .
