And there's not really a magic date in terms of activity. It's just that you can't do both at same time. And HS can only happen in a certain window from late October to late February.
So assuming 10/27 is first practice (or tryout) this year, but your club team has a tourney they want to do on that following weekend. You can do the tourney as long as you haven't started to do HS yet. Then join HS afterwards (as long as HS coach was okay with delay).
But once you start HS, then you can't do anything with club (or any team) at the risk of a fine and penalties (although there are a few exceptions). Generally on the back end of HS, the club teams are supportive of finishing any HS commitments before coming back to club.

This is first year that majority of our players will be playing in high school. I was looking for the 27th date. I found it after posting when I noticed the next year tab.
We will probably plan to end season just before then because our girls go to so many different schools.

I've seen teams try to squeeze in 1 more tourney on that last weekend even & I'm not always convinced that much is gained by it. Give the players a week or two to transition & let their bodies recover.

If a club team chooses to attend a college soccer showcase, like Disney or CASL, you are allowed to attend the event.
