Come out and support our three Louisiana girls teams who have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Region III Championships! Here's the schedule for Tuesday at the BREC Burbank Soccer Complex in Baton Rouge.
*Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. [Field 7] -- MANDEVILLE LAKERS U18 (LA) vs. Oklahoma FC (OK)
*Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. [Field 8] -- BRSC/CSC ALLIANCE U18 (LA) vs. NASA 14 Elite (GA)
*Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. [Field 7] -- LOUISIANA FIRE NAVY U17 (LA) vs. Sunrise Sting (FL)
The Mandeville U18 girls made it out of their bracket with 2 wins and 1 loss. They started with a 2-0 win against Andromeda West of North Texas, then lost 0-2 to NASA Elite of Georgia (the same team who will play BRSC/CSC Alliance in the quarterfinals), before finishing with a 3-0 shutout of HFC 96 Blue from Alabama to clinch second place in their group and advance to the next round. This is Mandeville's first quarterfinal appearance at Regionals, so well done to them and good luck tomorrow!
BRSC/CSC Alliance U18 advanced with 1 win and 2 draws. They recorded a 2-1 victory against CFC Lady Chiefs Elite (Georgia), followed by a 2-2 result against JASA Coastal Surge of North Carolina, and then 0-0 against Oklahoma FC --Mandeville's quarterfinal opponent tomorrow -- in the third game. 5 points clinched second place in the group for BRSC/CSC Alliance, who will compete in the regional quarterfinals for the first time just like Mandeville. (If either Mandeville or BRSC/CSC Alliance had won their group, the two Louisiana teams would have been set to play each other in the quarterfinals!)
The Louisiana Fire Navy U17 girls were in a tough position after dropping their opening game 2-4 against South Carolina Elite, but rebounded with two straight 2-0 victories against Andromeda Red of North Texas and Lonestars Red of South Texas. They missed out on first place in the group because of head-to-head with South Carolina Elite, who lost to Lonestars Red after beating the Fire. Louisiana Fire is the defending regional champion from 2013 in Oklahoma City, but they face a tough task against the RPL East champions from Florida who have won all three games at regionals so far.
Congrats to all three of these teams for advancing, and well done to the teams in other age groups who represented Louisiana proudly in group play. The remaining teams deserve some home support and lively atmosphere in the exciting games to come!
(See p_malinich's excellent report in the other thread about the 4 boys teams who also advanced.)

Not a good overall day for Louisiana. U18 girls both lost, and the two boys teams this morning also lost. Nevertheless, as Kevin said, we do have the U17 girls who advanced! Great win against a Florida team who had won their group with 3 victories.
So here we go, regional SEMIFINALS tomorrow for people to come watch and support in Baton Rouge! Fire's opponent from Georgia is the only team to win every game so far, prevailing in overtime today.
*Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. [Field 18] -- Norcross Fury Premier (GA) vs. LOUISIANA FIRE NAVY U17 (LA)

Region 4? That's West coast... I think that's a typo. They've been doing a lot of copy/paste among the Regions. But I wasn't positive so I didn't edit it.
