What time will the final be played? Started about 10 minutes ago Which field are they playing on? I'm a straggler passing through on my way back to Denham.

NISH result:
We played all of this games without my starting up goalie.
New Iberia Senior High 4 Morgan City 2
New Iberia senior High 2 (We hold at least 70% to 80% possession of the game but couldn't get the ball on the back of the net. Our two goals came at last 15 minutes of the game) CE Byrd 2
New Iberia High 3 Carencro 0
Semi-final (missing my starter goalie, starting up left forward injured middle field) New Iberia senior High 1( Acadiana three goals were made during the first half.) Our goal was made on the second half Acadians 3
I'm glad we played Acadians before we meet on January for our district game. (Good Job Acadians for winning the trophy)

Halftime of final Acadiana - 1 Denham Springs - 0 Acadiana scored on a controversial pk call. Game is very physical. What happened? Why was it controversial? In my opinion, and from 40 yards away, it appeared that the Acadiana Player went up for a ball in front of a Denham defender, colliding and the Acadiana player landed awkwardly going down. There was no reaction from AR but center called immediately. I think the controversy was in light of the very physical way the game was being called (or more accurately not called) to have such a quick PK, in the final, against teams that had a one goal differential the previous night. I do want to credit Acadiana for having a very good team that plays a very physical game. This was the most physical team I have seen Denham play and Denham didn't adjust to the way the game was being called. IMO Denham started playing more of a kick and run game against a very solid defense including a strong center back #5. Denham did have two goals called back for offsides that both appeared to be correct, but heartbreaking, calls. I think you could also see the fresh legs of their players that had ACT in the morning vs Denham playing 5th game in less than 24 hours.

As I was bringing ice to an injured Denham player, I was directly behind the goal. I can offer this vantage point....the foul occurred as the Acadiana player left his feet for a bicycle attempt when the Denham defender undercut the attacker. The foul happened at the right goal post about 12 yards from goal. The CR was on the left goal post within 8 yards of the play. It was a good call, albeit untimely foul by Denham player.

Thank you to Carencro for putting on a classy tournament. My only critique would be to have 3 refs for all guys matches (although I know you can save $ by going with 2, I would pay a higher entry fee to assure 3).
Congratulations to Acadiana - well deserved.
As to the discussion on the various calls/no calls - it is all part of the game. We stop the cross, the PK is a non-issue; we don't allow a corner, our keeper doesn't get pushed into the goal in the first game. We score on 2 point blank opportunities inside the 6, none of this matters. You can nit-pick a game to death and come up with all the excuses you want (missing players, tired legs, refs...). Bottom line - two very talented squads gave all they had and at the end of the day Acadiana won. My feeling from the sideline was that both games felt like 1-1 games. I think both calls were borderline looking at the game film. If I'm wearing green - I say good call; if purple - awful call. I think it would be an incredible match-up at the end of the year should fate/brackets allow it. I think all in attendance would agree it would be one physical, emotional, fast paced battle.
