Non-district @ Baton Rouge
St. Michael 1 Baton Rouge 1
Very sloppy game from both teams. Baton Rouge enjoyed a slight edge in possession. Mitchell Williams scores off a throw in with seven minutes to go. BRMHS equalized in final minute of stoppage on a shot that deflected off a defender. Very tough way to lose what would have been an excellent result, but both teams should be happy with this. Both teams missed a handful of great chances in the first half that could have made the difference.
Mitchell Williams: 1 goal Andrew Fulton: 1 GA, 8 saves

Episcopal of Acadiana -2
Westminster -2
Hard fought contest between two teams with bright futures. ESA up 2-0 at half when all district center back went down with an injury and did not return. Westminster's #25 scored on a nice shot from around the 18 and on a phantom call pk where he whiffed at the ball and fell with no one around him. Overall two pretty good teams with some very good young players coming up.

Overall two pretty good teams with some very good young players coming up. I strongly disagree with your assessment of a "phantom call". The defender was on his back and clearly clipped his shooting leg causing the whiff. The on-field ref was in good position and immediately made the call with no hesitation. Additionally, the AR immediately put up his flag to indicate that a foul was committed. Finally, I have it on video, and #25's leg clearly gets moved in an unnatural angle. I know & greatly respect your coach, and #25 is one of his club players. He is as good a young striker (just a soph.) as there is in this state, to which your coach can attest. He is also strong and physical and not one to take a dive, especially in a situation where he has the defender beat and is looking 1 on 1 at the keeper.

I aggre with you that these are 2 teams on the rise. WCA played without 3 starters Saturday, but when everyone is available they typically start 2 Sr, 2 Jr, 6 So, and 1 8th grader. Saturday we started 3 8th graders and 5 played in total. In talking with your coach, I know that ESA is also very young. God bless and best of luck to both teams.
