Big district game Friday night EA vs St. Josephs. Anyone seen both teams and have a prediction?

" my prediction (pause) PAIN!" Clubber Lang
Just kidding, i think it will be a good game! St. Joseph's only district loss last year was to EA in PKs so i am sure they will want to avenge that. They will also be thinking about keeping pace with your Baton Rouge High Girls as well. Usually close so i will say SJA 2 EA 1.

Haven't followed as closely on the girls side this season, since my oldest has graduated and most of my soccer nights are now at the Woodlawn boys games, but it appears to be stacking up for another four team slugfest (SJA,BR,EA, and Dutchtown). STA seems like a solid playoff contender again. Woodlawn has been struggling with injuries and consistency of play. McKinley starting to see some non-district wins. Should be a fun January. Perhaps the heated battles can keep you all warm in the stands as these ladies slug it out for the automatic qualifier and district championship.

There are a lot of really good players in the district spread across a few teams. And YOUNG. I think SJA has TWO seniors starting and BRHS will be graduating ONE senior starter.

Great showing at the mandy tournament for district 5. Combined 7-0 giving up 2 goals in 7 games. Big wins for SJA over Dominican and Missing all 3 captains BR still finds a way to beat #4 west Monroe. second round district games are only a week away.

This is just a bump and a request to add a power ranking column like the district 3 table. They seem to be a little more into their soccer than us. More action on their thread. Looking forward to that SJA BRHS game. Almost everyone on that field plays on the top level BRSC teams. Maybe some college coaches should come watch. I know, wishful thinking.

UPDated district info! Big week coming up for St. Joseph's! Playing 4 district games from Monday to Sunday. The race for the district title could be wide open or maybe a two horse race by weeks end depending on results! Hope we have some decent weather!

See my prediction a couple of post up! I may be headed to Vegas. Good game tonight! EA held their own and had a 1-0 lead at half (played with wind at there back) . SJA controled second half and scored game winner with 20 sec left in regulation time ( played 2 minutes of extra time). EA had zero shots in the second.
SJA-2 EA. -1

SJA look every bit as solid as last year, possibly a tad better.

A group of 7 very talented sophomores (and 1 freshman) started the second half for SJA down 1-0 and did a great job of passing and controlling the ball, building wave after wave. Talk about diaper dandies, and did I say those girls are talented ? But I'm not biased at all Stay healthy! See you Sunday!
