Looks like D III is very competitive this year. Pope John Paul II coming off first championship and getting everyone's best. University looks strong. Hannan, Northlake, and St Thomas Aquinas are better this year. Newman and Sacred Heart will be contenders also. With power rankings this year seeding will be critical come playoffs. Just some thoughts to get people talking. Please let me know about other D III teams with better teams this year. Best of luck and health to all!

Hannan looks like a "surprise" team this year. Northlake looks better than last year. Still trying to figure out Episcopal BR. It seems they have struggled to keep a consistent line up on the pitch. I have heard they have had some illness (flu, which seems to be bad this year at least in Baton Rouge) and some girls out with injury. Newman looks young, only two seniors on the roster. Should get better as the year goes along but next year may be their year. Not sure what to think of ASH. Heard they had quite a few girls missing early due to volleyball. Catholic NI, they seem a little down this year. St Thomas looks improved. It is difficult to get a good read early as girls can be missing because of volleyball or cross country. It should start to settle out.

NLC is a very good team, except for exceptional Hannan goalie play they would have beat Hannan 4-0, instead of 1-0.

Heading into the Holidays I guess it will get quite for awhile but things should pick up in the New Year. University will play Episcopal BR and Sacred Heart NO in January along with Div. I teams Baton Rouge and Dutchtown.
