I'll try, but I take videos too, so can't do both very well. Still 1-1 with 14 left. Brother Martin #29 with a second yellow on challenge against Mandeville keeper. Playing with 10.

Was it a malicious foul on the keeper or a good challenge? (Edited) at its finest is what it seems to be Not malicious at all. Aggressive play. By the way, I'm a southshore transplant - so duly offended.

Good to hear. Don't need injuries at this point in the season. Geaux skips

What was the possession like? I assume Mandy's players were tired from the Disney tourney. Still a great match up and great result for both schools.

Brother Martin may have a couple of players going to Disney with the LA Fire 98 team this weekend as well.

I went looking to just check out a decent match, (no dog in that fight at all), and hoping to see Mandy play as some here have been impressed with them so far this year.
Perhaps my expectations were too high, but all and all the match was pretty awful. Very few (and by few I mean perhaps 2) quality builds, speed of play was sloth-like, and Mandy was getting killed in the midfield so mercilessly it was if they didn't want touches in the middle of the pitch. Only BM strung together 4 or more passes and they seemed to lack urgency today when going forward.
BM had about 70% possession but consistently had poor first touches in the attacking third. Perhaps it was just a case of dead legs all around, and both groups are welcoming a slight break during the holidays.
Mandy's keeper did show well, and had at 3 quality stops, and that number 22 up top looks to be really quality. (though it seems like he was playing single high for large portions of time, and Mandy linked with him one time the entire half.)
BM looked clearly to be the better side today, and Mandy was fortunate to get the draw.
On a different not the weather was just perfect!! 71 degrees on the second day of winter!! geezz

It was a sloppy game but Mandeville is missing 4 starters due to injury, two of which play in the center mid postion. That could account for the weak midfield for Mandeville.

awwwww that makes sense!! i heard some players were missing, and they have too many quality results this season for what i saw in the midfield today.

On a different not the weather was just perfect! 71 degrees on the second day of winter! geezz I thought it was a decent match. I believe that your 70% possession is fairly inaccurate as is the getting killed mercilessly in the midfield. I guess you may have been watching through maroon colored glasses. I thought the teams were pretty evenly matched and it was any one's game. Clearly the better side for BM is a real stretch. Other than the early goal by BM, Mandys back line limited the attack of the Crusaders. Mandy out shot BM 11-7. Brother Martin was more patient but sometimes too much so. Mandy was too hurried, especially in the final third. I do feel Mandy should have taken advantage when BM was short sided but they failed to do so. I agree that card for contact with Mandy keeper was not malicious. Referees did a fine job as a whole.

Would Love to see a rematch against Bro Mo when Mandy's squad is healthy. Looking forward to the Mandy vs SPS match up down the stretch.

.... no maroon colored glasses here....like i said no dog in that fight. i was there watching with my sons who attend a different northshore school, and we just wanted to see a good match on a nice day. i'd seen BM play twice this year and wanted to see Mandy.
Like I said perhaps my expectations were wayyyyy too high, but this by no means was a quality match. The 70% possession may have been off since without tracking it as a stat it's an eyeball thing. BM certainly had the lion's share of the ball, and like you said were pretty patience going forward. However, getting mercilessly killed in the midfield may have been an understatement. My middle son loves, and can't get enough of midfield play, (he's an Xavi Hernandez groupie!), so we paid particular attention to that portion of the game. It got to a point where we were literally counting the number of 50/50 balls lost by the Mandy midfielders. We just both figured missing personnel made a huge different. It also looked like a couple of the Mandy's midfielders were confused or not on the same page as to what formation they were playing, as there was a LOT of ball watching as BM players stepped to the ball, and the middle of the pitch was frequently completely evacuated. (I thought maybe they were trying new formations to implement later).
I look forward to seeing them again, when they are fully rostered, healthy and have fresher legs.

Mandeville wasn't missing any players to Disney. We leave 12-26. Not a bad result for either team. Mandeville does have some injuries
