On Senior day for the Gators this one started out fast for the Gators as they would score in the 5th minute, Seth Benoit would play a perfect pass through the BR defense to Briggs Bourgeois who would finish just inside the 18. The Gators would then strike again in the 8th minute, with the ball deep in the Gators end Beau Trabeau would win the ball and dribble out of traffic up to mid-field and he would play the ball forward to Steven Saucier who was in full stride and would finish the shot. The Gators had a few more chances to get a 3 goal lead but couldn’t finish.
BRHS started to wake up after the 2-0 lead by the Gators and would get a much needed goal in the 17 minute from Jowad Abraham. The ball was played in close and the Gator defense couldn’t clear and the ball would bounce right the Abraham and he would chip in thanks to the post for the score.
The first half would end 2-1 Gators; the Gators would get its third goal of the game at the 50th minute. The Gators got a free kick just inside the mid-field from a BRHS foul. Conner Poche would send the free kick to the right side of the goal about 8 yds out to find a leaping Briggs Bourgeois who would send the header in for the 3 goal of the game.
After the Gators 3rd goal BRHS started to really push forward with several runs but didn’t get one quality shot until the 70th minute. The Gators would commit a foul just outside the 18, Josh Hulgan would take the free kick and pound it in for the score.
With about 5 minutes to play the Gators brought 10 guys back to defend the Bulldog rush, again with several chances with the Gator D holding tight they would secure the win 3-2. Well-played game and Referees did an outstanding job in comparison to Last Monday fiasco.
