Lutcher seems to have woken up on Wednesday after being decisively defeated by St. Michael and Morgan City earlier in the week. Riverside is a good enough team to keep it close, but I think Lutcher will eventually put the contest away.
If Riverside wants to beat Lutcher, they're going to have to close down space quickly and find a way to test Lutcher's backup keeper. Give Lutcher time to play through balls, and they'll rip Riverside apart.
I am aware St. Charles beat Lutcher 3-0 earlier in the season and Riverside just tied them, but I don't think the transitive property works as well in sports as it does in math. Some teams just matchup well with each other, and others do not. Interested to see how this plays out.

Riverside has one of the most effective forwards in the state in Tyler Gauthier, that boy seriously scores for fun. If Lutcher can keep him quiet, it should make their job much easier, but he only needs a sniff of goal to convert.

Halftime score was Lutcher 1-0.
Don't have anything more recent.

1-0 final. Valiant effort from Riverside tonight & they definitely had their fair share of chances. Felt like we missed some golden opportunities early & then started falling into some bad habits instead of trusting what worked Wednesday night. We will continue to work hard to become more consistent as the playoffs approach.
Continued to test our depth a bit more tonight without a starting CM & losing our leading scorer to a first half calf injury. A few of our reserves starting to step up with some quality minutes
Nice to see us able to shut teams out with very talented goal scorers over the last 2 matches - even without our starting keeper.
