Is there any penalty for cancelling games?

here is why! When it comes down to the wire, I foresee teams cancelling games this last week unless they are district games. Some teams may not want to add another game to there list, possible a lost or a win only net net 9 pointsor so,  so they cancel the game. And their  rankings will stay the same and not drop any. it will be interesting to see if any get cancelled.

Also, In DII I see Belaire played some district games and not all? I don't guess they playing for district title?  How can a win over them be calculated into the power rankings only playing 7 games r so?

 Someone may get screwed by those 5 points? should matter but may happen!

I feel once the schedule is turned in, should stick to it unless weather or some  unforeseen problem occurs. eliminating the cancels throughout the year and especially the last week.

What yall think, Coaches will get smart to this power ranking scheduling , and know where the sit before LHSAA does.

I can see this happening in the reverse order also, A team looking to gain points with a win gets a game cancelled this last week and can not make it up,
I also noticed carenco and walker cancelled this week to start it off? Do not know the senerio ther?

game was recently added to try and keep us ready if we got into the playoff's

Also, coaches could be evaluating the current health of their teams and want to try and get as healthy as possible heading into the playoffs.

Carrboro. Walker was not recently added. It was scheduled back in October. Carencro had to cancel because of rescheduled district game
