I know there are a number of LA high school players out there that are looking to play soccer in college. Next Wednesday Feb. 4th is National Letter of Intent Day. Does anyone know of any players that will be making commitments to play beyond high school?
If so, please provide:

Sounds like an opportunity, not a commitment.

Sounds like an opportunity, not a commitment. This is article was written about three weeks ago. He has since "committed", though since it's an international school you don't really have a letter of intent and acceptance party like you do when you commit to an American college or university. I didn't feel the need to post about it until a thread like this one came up.
Moving to a new country is intimidating for anyone, but we are very proud that Mitch has decided to challenge himself and accept this once-in-a-lifetime chance. Very few kids who apply here get accepted. I would like to think he has what it takes to make it in professional soccer if he keeps pushing himself, but even if that doesn't work out he will still be having fun and getting a world-class education. The school also gives graduates international coaching licenses, so he can do that as well if he wants.
He has trained in England for the past few summers and got to know the directors of the academy very well. Right now all he is focused on is finishing his senior season at St. Michael with a bang.
There could very well end up being three college commits from this senior class as St. Michael, so stay tuned on that.

Congratulations to him (Mitchell Williams). Great competitor and it's been fun watching as Lutcher and St. Mikes have played over the last few years.

I've read a lot about RIASA the last couple of years. I think the tuition is around 33-35K a year. I read they do give scholarships to gifted players/students. They also have an alliance with Bradford City FC (league 2, 4th tier....just upset Chelsea in FA Cup.)
Perceived level of play aside, their players can get student work permits that allow them to play there. I think most of their teams play in the tiers just below the conference. (5th-6th tier?) So, they aren't playing other college teams but higher level amateur teams. And if a player is good enough they get an opportunity to sign with a team inside the Football League.
So, yeah it is a great opportunity.

Surely these are not all the college commitments, where are all the others?
