Can soft splints be wore in high school like they can in club?
I know it's refs discretion but generally? No metal whatsoever.

Yes. You may need to have an external pad around it. Check w ref before game and have a dr's release just in case. I base this off of examples I have seen where players have worn hard casts on arm, hand and wrist and those who wear knee braces w metal in them.

Yuu said the key thing..Approach the official early. That way if the padding is not enough you have time to work on it.

This is the nylon velcro around your wrist kind of thing.
She got kicked in wrist last night in a pileup in goal. Yes- she saved goal. It is a combo sprain and bruise. Didn't get a release but she only left game to get taped and finished on field.

I wouldn't have an issue with it

Yeah, just approach the referee well before the game to get his permission, but most refs wouldn't have a problem with a soft, padded nylon cast like that.
It's the solid metal ones that refs aren't too keen on. One foul with that thing and your opponent will be needing a cast! Very dangerous for play.

This one would hurt less than her arm not that she would use it. She hit it going out the door to school and I thought she was going to cry.

What you are describing as a soft cast requires no,additional padding, it is equal to an ace bandage, is not hard shell, and in itself can't be used as a weapon.

Thanks. We had no issues. One ref asked what happened before game but that was it.
