Game was rough. Not the best officiating as every tackle was called a foul. Mostly every foul was weak IMO. To add, Northshore had many chances but only capitalized on 1 by Hunter McGoldrick. In the last minutes, there was a dangerous and brutal slide tackle by Covington #18 in the final third. After that, northshore sealed victory with tight defense. Credit goes out to Covington though. They played very hard tonight. Northshore just got the better of them. Northshore better clean things up soon as they will be a tough out in the playoffs.

It is a shame when parents feed the trolls in the student section to the point that each side looks up each others' rosters to call out specific kids. There was clearly escalation in the amount of passively aggressive insults in the second half.

Officiating was not the best is an UNDERSTATEMENT. That Center ref was a little whistle happy and card happy. He was close to losing control of this game. I am guessing around 7 or 8 yellow and a red handed out. (The red was deserved though.) Northshore started strong on nice goal (#3) and then just could not put it in again although they had chances. Covington is a physical teams as is Northshore and it showed. Nice effort for the Lions, just not as skilled as Northshore. This probably ended Covington's season as the were sitting in the gate keepers spot #32. This Northshore team is a hard team to figure out. I am not sure if the team that draws them in playoff's should be happy or sad

Game was rough... Most every foul was weak... Ref was close to losing control of the game... Ref was whistle happy... Ref was card happy...
So was in fact the game rough and required more calls? Close to losing control indicates a large number of hard fouls which would also result in more cards (5 cautions not 7 or 8). Oh, I get it, never miss a chance to bash an official.
