If a school had a boys soccer team and later in the years added a girls team, is this team prohibited from playing varsity for first year or two.
Someone told me that today but it doesn't make sense.

No, you can play varsity right away unless you cancelled program. Then there is a two year sit out where yiu can only play JV till becoming a varsity again after second year of no varsity.

I know they have never canceled since we joined LHSAA.

Laffysoccermom- are you saying that LCA was able to grow there program to two teams now? Is Jen coaching both?

I don't know but I hear talk we may be able to field girls team next year. One parent said we had to play JV because it was new team.
I don't know for sure if we will have girls team or how the coaching situation will be. Just was curious if that was case.
