Correct me if I am wrong, but the legislation that was passed was for eight districts, not seven. Am I wrong?

In DI-
Biggest surprise has to be in DI with the move of the Ascension Parish teams into the Bayou area district---I dont think anyone saw that coming.
In DII-
Seems Shreve will be in DII after all
I do have some issues with the inclusion of Union and St Martinville in these districts as it is my understanding they havent played yet at any level--can someone give me more info.
Also, San Houston didnt field a team this year, so how are they included?
In DIII-
St Louis effectively has to drive past Kaplan, Notre Dame, North Vermillion and Abbeville to get to Morgan City..scratching my head on that one.
The metro New Orleans districts listed here are just, well, stupid. Not sure who came up with the idea for Lusher and JS Clark to go to the Northshore. Cant see Clark travelling to Franklinton. Also arent Sacred heart and Ursuline all girls schools? Who was responsible for putting them on this list? Seems like it would make a WHOLE lot more sense to move Morgan City in with Lutcher, Vandebilt and ED White, and then bring Lusher in with Clark, Belle Chasse, NOM&M, and International?
In D IV-
seems to have a few issues and surprises--Red River in with the Alexandria teams, Catholic-PC stays in metro BTR were the surprises.
In The metro New Orleans districts listed here are just, well, stupid--PART DEAUX--Fisher, Ecole Classique, and Ridgewood didnt field teams this year, so why are they going to be included? Why have St Charles and Riverside drive right past Country Day, St Martins, Lutheran, Haynes and Patrick taylor to play Newman? Wouldnt it be a ton smarter to just take Newman, and put them in a District with St Martins, Lutheran, Country Day, Haynes, and Patrick Taylor?
AND WHERE IN THE HECK IS ARCHBISHOP SHAW? THEY ARE NO WHERE ON THIS PLAN..

D IV DISTRICT 1 1. Calvary Baptist 2. Evangel 3. North Caddo 4. Ouachita Christian 5. St. Frederick DISTRICT 2 1. Glenmora 2. Grace Christian 3. Holy Savior Menard 4. Rapides 5. Red River DISTRICT 3 1. Ascension Episcopal 2. Catholic, NI 3. Episcopal of Acadiana 4. Lafayette Christian 5. Opelousas Catholic 6. Thibodaux, David 7. Westminster Christian DISTRICT 4 1. St. Thomas Aquinas DISTRICT 6 1. Covenant Christian 2. Houma Christian 3. Newman, Isidore 4. Riverside Academy 5. St. Charles DISTRICT 7 1. Ecole Classique 2. Lutheran 3. Metairie Park Cntry. Day 4. Ridgewood 5. St. Martin’s DISTRICT 8 1. Fisher 2. Haynes Academy 3. Taylor, Patrick This D-IV was looking pretty good, several good/bad teams in each district and they finally got rid of that tw0-team district in N.E. Louisiana and made a real district . until New Orleans. WTH?
District 7 is basically a two-team district, CD and St.M. Ecole and Ridgewood haven't fielded a team forever, and Lutheran is a coed team who hasn't EVER won a game in soccer.
District 8 is a one team district. Fisher hasn't fielded a boys team in a few years and it wasn't a serious team ever. Patrick Taylor hasn't ever played for district honors, and has always been a "JV" team. Who came up with this?
I would combine districts 7&8, and move Newman to 7&8, while moving Haynes or St, Martin to 6. A district with Newman, Country Day, Haynes would be attractive, Haynes and CD are 6 blocks apart. In any case, all proposed district 6 teams would drive right by Haynes, CD and St. Martin's on their way to the away games.
The more I look at it, the worse it looks. Why has the system isolated Haynes from any meaningful district games? Why was Newman tossed into the River parishes? Who does these things?

In the LHSAA we trust, well, not me. We have been the bastard child in the past. Let's see if they make changes. Still no answer on the 8 district set up.

In Division One, they are combining all of the NE, NW and Central teams into one district. (Ray had then split). Can't say that is a bad thing.

They have the same thing on the Girls side as well--just a really poor cut and paste job with these two proposals

If we are splitting the 8team New Orleans district, then the Division I northshore area should be split east /west. West St. Paul Covington Hammond Ponchatoula
And
East Slidell Northshore Fontainebleau Mandeville
