A game of 2 halves. Jays had to be shell shocked the first half. Rams were locked and loaded. High pressure, attacking wide, countering . The Jays were on their heels the entire first half. The Jays may have 2 or 3 legit shots in the first. A couple miss opps by Rams in first . In The second half, the Jays bore down and lodged ball after ball in final 3rd. The Rams goalie did a great job punching out what had be 6 r 7 corners. He had also a fantastic PK stop. The Rams had a few opps- but couldn't close. . Exceptional match... Good clean sportsmanship.

Wow. For all you forum guys that have been around much longer than me, is this the best comeback you've ever seen? It's not often a team can come back from being down 3-0 that late in the game. What a comeback. Congrats to the Jays for advancing and Acadiana for the best season in a long time. What was the St. Charles comeback over Westminster earlier in the playoffs this year? I was at both games Paul. St. Charles came back from 3-1 to win 6-3. We (Westminster) played exactly the same way in the 2nd half as we did in the 1st half, very tentatively on the defensive end. The difference in the 1st half was that we were able to possess a little more and when we got to balls in our defensive end we cleared them. Today Acadiana went into a shell and stopped being aggressive after their 3rd goal. I understand playing more defensively/conservatively but they quit being aggressive and chose not to possess. Rather, they began kicking the ball upfield to no one in particular and allowed Jesuit to possess. All-in-all both games were enormous collapses. With that being said, even if a team goes into a shell the other team has to take advantage, and Jesuit and St. Charles both did so. Congrats to Jesuit on a great win.

Matter of perspective. One of the greatest comebacks EVER! Again, credit to Jesuit. But a completely flat team came out in the second half for Acadiana. Jesuit wins but certainly has it gift wrapped! Sounds like one coach made adjustments and one did nothing for second half. I also imagine Jesuit would say they worked very hard to get their goals and would not consider any gifting.

....and that, my friends, is why you play all 80 minutes!! It ain't over 'til it's over. Congrats to Coach Hubie and the entire Bluejay soccer team for this awesome comeback win and for not giving up when they were down by 3. Despite the outcome of this one game, congrats to the Rams for a fantastic season. To all the Bluejay nation out there, that State Championship soccer trophy sure would look great next to that State Championship football trophy won in December. Go Jays.

Kills the game..long throws and direct play...oooo weee U.S. soccer...

That field was stretched as wide as it could possibly be. It's a 40+ year old campus. If it were possible to get it wider, it would have been. You can only do as much as what you're given.

But, I will direct you to crusaders post where he formed a neutral and unbiased opinion...complete collapse. I consider Jesuit to be the "class" of the New Orleans area schools and have great respect for their coach. Arguably the best. Not taking anything away from the Blue Jays but it was incredibly painful to see that much lack of focus by one team in the game's final 15.

Kudos to Jesuit for playing till the end and making us pay for our mistakes! However, I am proud of my kids and the effort they gave. It is one of those situations where you establish a big lead and become complacent all in the same breath! I assure you the message was clear in regards to the wind that no lead was big enough and we needed to score more! Let's just focus on the effort of both teams and say congrats to Jesuit on being more gritty in the final 15 and on my Rams for a tremendous season! It is a game, we hope to learn from the loss and we congratulate Jesuit on a helluva comeback! I will never discredit my kids, their effort, or my game plan! We didn't finish the game, became complacent, and ultimately lost! However, all these kids are winners and I hope that in the long run I taught them more about life than soccer! Good luck to all those remaining...till next year
Coach Jan

Wow. And to think my friend and I were debating between going to the SPS game or this game. Let's just say that we chose incorrectly. I'll be honest, once I read 3-0, I stopped checking and didn't check back until the St. Paul's game ended. Incredible stuff. I don't remember anything quite like this one. I could be wrong, but I think I remember something about Beau Chene leading 5-0 and the final being 5-4 one time before, but they were still able to hold on. WOW. I'm still in shock.

Also, any chance anyone has a video of the game, or more importantly the last 20 minutes. I've got to see this unfold. I know someone has to have it somewhere.
