I am proud to announce my soccer daughter has committed to Navy. This kid is the most fierce competitor you will ever meet. The Navy is not ready for the OWNING Cadie will bring. On the field, in trianig and especially in the classroom this amazing girl will STAR. Her tenacity and grit will be unmatched and will lead Navy with Eleanor to may victories. What amazes me most about Cadie is that she could have chosen from Ivy League schools and many others who were offering scholarships, but believes in her country and wants to serve. What an amazing person, competitor and student Navy is gaining. CADIE I SALUTE you

Congrats to Cadie and Noelle and all the girls who have already committed to schools on their club team. All the girls on the 97G LA Fire Navy team are super special. Their commitment to the sport of soccer is second to none. My hat is off to their parents too. You've got to have their support too. After all, it does take a financial commitment on their part as well to make it all happen. If any one knows, it's me. Go Fire!!

Congratulations!! My father was a Naval Academy graduate and he tried his best to recruit my daughters to consider attending as well. I respect tememsously those who choose to serve. I will pass along some advice ... Humility, respect and honor are traits she will need to survive plebe year. Cannot go in there thinking she is going to own anything. She will be broken down and rebuilt to fit the mold of an United States Naval officer. She needs to be ready for that. Soccer will be tertiary to military and academics. Take it for what it's worth. GO Navy !!

Cadie will walk the walk and skip the talk.

GO Navy ! Cadie has her choice of a great many schools, including Ivy League admittance. She has full rides from D1 schools and her choice is to serve, the most humble decision of ALL. I know this kid very well and she will OWN, her class academically without studying, fitness without extra training and spine to make sure all of her teammates make it as well because she will carry the load alone for them if she has to. I think you may be subject to the hype because you obviously don't know the person. Her paternal grandfather was a foreign diplomat, her maternal grandfather was a fighter pilot, her uncle gave his life in the Korean war when his plane was shot down, another pilot, her father clerked for the Supreme Court and is now a federal judge having been a public defender for his entire professional life once he began to practice, passing up many lucrative offers to SERVE. She comes from a lineage of service, it's in her blood. She is a team player and will take a hit for any of her teammates. She is the perfect candidate for the military no matter how much I gripe she should take the money and be safe playing soccer for a regular school. Go Cadie the world is your to have, don't forget us little people when you are making history.

When I wrote that I thought I was responding to one of her actual parents and frankly it alarmed me. No one goes with that attitude and excels. I have since learned this was not a parent. lol.

She sounds like a wonderful candidate for The Academy with the pedigree and humble upbringing that can result in a future American hero. With these kinds of players on BF it is no wonder they are having the success they are. Again, congratulations to the Higginson family. Go Navy !
