Sorry for the rant. I just couldn't believe the first half when the WGNO staff talked up the Dom players and how great they were when each and every one of them were being "schooled" by SSA. It was a very sad day for WGNO. Again, if you read this look at the live stream for yourself and please give me your perspective and tell me if I am right or wrong.

I think we should be glad that we got some news coverage. Very seldom do you hear much about what is going on in soccer (boys or girls) unless you come here to look for scores and updates from fans. Would love to see the scores and more news crews covering some of the key match ups during the year. On the northshore we are lucky to have Channel 13 that comes and covers our games locally.
As for the youth on SSA, they do have quite a freshman class, but it is their seniors that have that team where they are right now. Some excellent talent through the middle of the field for SSA. They will be tough to beat.

I agree that all of SSA's players are strong; however, WGNO should take pride in their work. Read more: laprepsoccer.proboards.com/post/286705/quote/19927?page=2#ixzz3SaCr24C3

I have been following SSA soccer from afar for many years. All teams get better as the season progresses, but none do it as much as SSA. They are usually MUCH better at the end of the season than the beginning, which is evidenced by their 7 state final appearances in a row. I think SSA wins this one by 2.

I think you could make your point about WGNO without negative comments about DHS players! SSA played great and has a fantastic team, young and old.

I apologize for using the names of the SSA players or scenerios of the game. This is not about SSA, Dominican, MC or any other High School soccer team. This is about one thing the erroneous reporting from WGNO. It's about "TAKING PRIDE IN YOUR WORK". I enjoy some of the comments about being glad that WGNO is taking the time out to video and stream soccer games in LA. That is wonderful!! but as a news organization you can at least report things as you see them. After watching what happend at this sporting event I question the accuracy of WGNO's news reporting. Again I apologize for using names of SSA players, I wanted people to watch the stream and tell me if I am reaching.

I like the Doves 2-0. It will be a tight match imo. I am predicting a late SSA goal on a counter when MCA is pressing to get the equalizer.

Looks like about a 10 mph wind. Blowing across the field. No apparent favored side.
