Team Check-In: Please have one coach come check in at the Headquarters tent near field #21. Coaches will pick up their Coach lanyards that will allow them to access the Coaches Hospitality Tent and 3 free meals at concessions. Please make sure that only your coaches have these lanyards.



Coaches Hospitality Tent: there will be a coaches Hospitality Tent set up next to Field #21 it will have free drinks and grab and go foods/snacks. You may also use your coaches lanyard to get your meal at the concessions stand. It will have a hole punch for 3 free meals during the weekend.



Referees: ALL games will be scheduled with full referee crews (including JV games)
Free meals for referees as well. Including Referee Hospitality Tent.


Scores: the winning coach will turn in the score card at the Headquarter tent within 15 minutes of completion of each game. All scores will be displayed on the large score board. We will also be posting updated scores on LaPrep as each round wraps up.



Water Stations: We will be setting up 2 water stations complete with cups and garbage at EACH Field (two for each field). We will be making rounds to refill the water and empty the garbage through out the day. You do not need to travel with any water coolers. I know I will not have enough benches for all of the fields. Please bring any portable benches that you may already have for your teams.



Game Balls: Third Coast soccer is helping to sponsor the game balls. There will be three game balls per field.



Ball Boys and Girls: The St. Michael HS Boys and Girls Soccer players will serve as Ball Boys/Girls and Field Marshals for each game.


Bathrooms: we have ordered porta potties in addition to the bathrooms located at Burbank.



Bus Parking: Please park busses on the perimeter in the grass next to the gravel road. Save the parking lots for spectators.



Admission: is $8.00 per person each day. This will be collected as the cars drive in at each entrance.



T-Shirts: will be available at the event site. They will be screened and personalized by "I am Soccer".



This tournament is now one of the biggest in the State and we want to make sure to improve it each year and keep it that way. Many of the items mentioned above are the result of your requests and ideas in years past. Our job will be to deliver the best tournament experience that we can given the resources that we have.

The 7th annual Holiday Cup will be hosted at the Burbank Soccer Complex on Saturday, January 2 and Sunday, January 3, 2016. Dates had to move due to Christmas falling on a Friday this year and the complex not being available for a tournament his size until this later date.

Varsity only Boys 6 team Tournament: (day after Thanksgiving)
Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28
at St. Michael High School

Junior Varsity Boys 6 team Tournament

Coach Fletcher and I will begin organizing the schedule this weekend once we get back from Copa. We wanted to wait until all spots and divisons were confirmed. I'll make sure to avoid conflicts between teams in the same district, repeating tournament matchups, etc. I'll also try to keep schools that bring boys and girls teams as close together as possible to make it easy on the parents. It's impossile to make everyone happy, but we'll do our best.

Once we have a tentative schedule drafted or at least a list of groups, I'll post it here so all of the coaches can see it. I remember last year my first list of groups was a little unbalanced since we had to change a lot and you all helped us make it better. Once my final exams end I'll be able to focus on it a lot more.

Coaches, we need a boys Varsity team to replace Tara, who had to drop out due to insufficient numbers over the holidays (thanks Coach Picard for giving us time to find a replacement). Your team could compete in the Red Divison, or if you want to test yourself in the Black Division, Live Oak is happy to play in the Red Division so you would take their spot. In the worst case scenario, the St. Michael Varsity will join the tournament. Let us know if you are interested either by responding here, using private messages on LaPrep, or emailing Coach Fletcher.

Here is the tentative group list for the boys divisons of the 2016 Holiday Cup. As tournament directors, we reserve the right to change the tournament matchups, field assignments, and schedule at any time, and we will notify you if such changes are made.

Team Check-In: Please have one coach come check in at the Headquarters tent near field #21. Coaches will pick up their Coach lanyards that will allow them to access the Coaches Hospitality Tent and 3 free meals at concessions. Please make sure that only your coaches have these lanyards.







Coaches Hospitality Tent: there will be a coaches Hospitality Tent set up next to Field #21 it will have free drinks and grab and go foods/snacks. You may also use your coaches lanyard to get your meal at the concessions stand. It will have a hole punch for 3 free meals during the weekend.







Referees: ALL games will be scheduled with full referee crews (including JV games)

Free meals for referees as well. Including Referee Hospitality Tent.





Scores: the winning coach will turn in the score card at the Headquarter tent within 15 minutes of completion of each game. All scores will be displayed on the large score board. We will also be posting updated scores on LaPrep as each round wraps up.







Water Stations: We will be setting up 2 water stations complete with cups and garbage at EACH Field (two for each field). We will be making rounds to refill the water and empty the garbage through out the day. You do not need to travel with any water coolers. I know I will not have enough benches for all of the fields. Please bring any portable benches that you may already have for your teams.







Game Balls: Third Coast soccer is helping to sponsor the game balls. There will be three game balls per field.







Ball Boys and Girls: The St. Michael HS Boys and Girls Soccer players will serve as Ball Boys/Girls and Field Marshals for each game.





Bathrooms: we have ordered porta potties in addition to the bathrooms located at Burbank.







Bus Parking: Please park busses on the perimeter in the grass next to the gravel road. Save the parking lots for spectators.







Admission: is $8.00 per person each day. This will be collected as the cars drive in at each entrance.







T-Shirts: will be available at the event site. They will be screened and personalized by "I am Soccer".







This tournament is now one of the biggest in the State and we want to make sure to improve it each year and keep it that way. Many of the items mentioned above are the result of your requests and ideas in years past. Our job will be to deliver the best tournament experience that we can given the resources that we have.

Holiday Cup Coaches,

We have been monitoring the fields at Burbank and they are extremely saturated and holding lots of water. After last night's rain we (BREC, BRSA and myself) have made a decision to move the tournament to the Independence Soccer Fields off off Goodwood Blvd.

It has been impossible to mow the fields over the last week due to the rain. It will take some work to get the fields cleaned up but they are lined. They are certainly not the quality of Burbank Soccer Complex but this is the last chance for a tournament and I need t ok deliver.

There are 6 fields at Independence. We will start the first round of games on Saturday at 8am (with girls Varsity and 1 boys JV game.) I will assign the games on the hour every hour starting at 8am. The last round of games with be at 3pm. I am sorry if this causes changes to what we had planned for. But the weather the past few weeks has been poor and it looks like this weekend will be nice (we will see how dry the fields can get).

In addition, my dad slipped an fell yesterday and broke his hip. He has surgery today and made it through. My responses may be delayed while I am helping mom out at the hospital.

I will have the new schedule done tomorrow.
