There's a difference between getting injured accidentally and your body breaking down after playing 40 games in 4 months I'm almost 100% sure these kids would love to play more games. It's the sport they love. besides, we are only talking 4 extra games at a maximum. You make it seem like they are playing 10+ extra games. calm down. It may just be 4 games at first, but then that won't be enough. It'll be 4 more after that. Then 4 more after that. Do the players love the game? Yes. But at the same time they are physically exhausted by the end of the season. 20 games is plenty for regular season play.

25 to 30 games in just over 3 months is too many to begin with. Factor in logistics, budgets, etc. and it makes zero sense.
Yeah, the kids love to play games. A lot of kids like to do things that if not kept in check aren't good for them.
This is where the "adults" come into the picture.
Subject for another thread, but a lot of teams play too many games as it is. Not to mention the number of games in a given week.
Besides, playing a ton of games/tournaments don't necessarily make for better players. If it did the US would be a world power. (And we all know they aren't!) More and better training makes better players.

One game! Bring it or go home! It creates just the right amount of pressure for players & drama for parents.

Like I said, it's only 4 extra games at a maximum, mad though I would prefer just two (quarters and semis) But you're right, 2-4 extra games would seriously "hurt" our kids
