I know the forum isn't going to be as alive as it is during the high school season, but I still think it would be great to get more coverage on our club teams, such as the thread about the teams who traveled to Dallas this weekend for the FC Dallas College Showcase.
What other exciting events are coming up for club teams? Is your team going to any tournaments or showcases this spring? Regional Premier League games? Even state league games or local tournaments that fans in Louisiana could go see? Anyone feel free to post anything about a team in any age group, including recognition of any successes, or just anything to watch for.

One event that just happened on March 7-8 was the Boys Vulcan Cup in Birmingham, Alabama, definitely one of the top tournaments in Region III for younger teams.
In the top 8v8 division of U12, two Louisiana teams met in the final! BRSC 03 Black defeated Louisiana Fire 03 LP1 in the final 3-0, after both teams rebounded from losses on the first day. Dynamo Juniors from Lafayette lost in the semis to the same Louisiana Fire team, after winning its first two matches.
In the U13 Gold division, Louisiana Fire 02 Red won all three of its games in group play before taking a tough 1-2 loss in the final to BUSA Elite (the host club, Birmingham United Soccer Association).
In the U14 Silver division, the Sonics (Slidell Youth Soccer Club) won two games and tied one in group play, and were extremely unlucky not to advance to the final because the team they tied had a better goal differential against the other 2 teams. That team ended up winning the tournament.
Congrats to these Louisiana teams for good showings in Birmingham!
