Delta State University Men's Soccer is hosting a high school summer residential camp for boys on Thursday 16th July - Sunday 19th July .The high school residential camp is designed for the serious soccer player from age 14+ and training sessions will be specific to improving the technical, tactical and mental aspects associated with soccer. The rigorous schedule will demand a high level of participation and competition, which will help in the preparations for the high school soccer season. The Statesmen residential camp offers players and goalkeepers the chance to gain valuable insight from college coaches, players and staff to help improve their overall performance. The camp is specific to both age and skill level and challenges players to their full potential. Delta State has a history of recruiting players from the state of Louisiana with players such as Jaxon Lambert (St. Amant HS), Jonathan Hilton (Northshore HS), Brock Hollier (Beau Chene HS) on the current roster.
Delta State soccer is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Gulf South Conference, a highly competitive conference with a long-standing tradition which provides some of the best soccer at the division II level and are part of the South Region in NCAA DII, which has been represented in 4 of the last 5 National Championship games. The DSU men’s soccer program had a successful 2014 season, qualifying for the Gulf South Conference Tournament for the 2nd time in the program’s short history.
