Several finals were either rained out or suspended in progress on Sunday afternoon.
The U14 C1 boys bracket games were pushed back due to rain on Saturday, so their final (Mandeville Lakers vs. LA Fire, I believe) was postponed so that teams weren't playing 3 games in one day. The U17 C1 boys (Mandeville Lakers vs. CSC Fury) never got started with their final before the rains moved in again. The U16 C1 boys (Mandeville Lakers vs. CSC Fury) were suspended about halfway through the second half with Mandeville up 2-0.
Not sure of the status of the U18 C1 boys -- they had a game in progress at the time of the weather suspension, and since that is a 3-team bracket without a true final game I don't know what the procedure is for them.
We are waiting to hear when and where the games will be played/completed.
The U15 C1 boys played their final earlier in the day before the weather moved in. LA Fire defeated BRSC 2-0 in the final.

The u18b bracket was a fiasco....
After Saturday play, at 9pm LSA decided that they would reschedule the #3 vs #1 makeup game after the schedule Sunday morning #1 vs #2 match. They then decided to move up the #1 vs #2 match to 8am.
Additionally, there was only an email to the #2 team on Saturday night at 9pm, letting them know their 10am match was now at 8am. No phone call. Luckily someone on the team was checking the scores from the day and happened to notice the time change or the #2 team would have been a no show.
Then after all of that, they didn't get the #3 vs #1 game in later, which is now scheduled for next weekend.
Tough send off for a team on their last match ever.
No one is really happy with how this went down except for the team that benefits from it all.
The newbies at LSA continue their learning curve.

So teams are driving to Baton Rouge to play 20 minutes? Wow! And LSA will probably force a water break halfway through that due to it being warm.

U17 boys final: Mandeville 1, CSC Fury 0.
That's three consecutive state titles for both the U16 and U17 Mandeville Lakers teams. Congrats to coach Nick Chetta for six titles in the last three years with these two teams!
