Perhaps Beckerman's hair has Jamaican citizenship? That's another classic line. Love it.

To add insult to injury, Mexico advances to the final after yet another ridiculous penalty call that allows them to tie the game and force extra time. Mexico then converted another penalty to win. They might as well just give Mexico the trophy now. No way CONCACAF will let Jamaica win.
Panama were robbed. They were seconds away from winning despite playing with 10 for close to 75 minutes. American referee Mark Geiger had no control of the game. 13 yellow cards! And a red!
As intense as the games have been, I'm truly starting to hate this tournament. It's the epitome of what this sport should not be. Dirty play and the absolute worst refereeing on the planet.
Mexico deserve nothing from this tournament. If they win it, it will be one of the biggest travesties in soccer history. Go Reggae Boyz!
U.S. plays Panama on Saturday for third place, while Mexico plays Jamiaca in the final on Sunday. If Mexico wins, we'll never hear the end of it. If you have any Bob Marley shirts or fake dreadlocks, wear them Sunday.

And their fans are second only to Russians in their "class" as they threw drink at the Panamanian team after the Panama team went up 1-0 even though down their top scorer .

I'll try and post a video of that penalty call if I can find one.
It was so bad that even Mexican captain Andres Guardado (who converted both penalties) said after the game that he seriously considered missing the penalty on purpose out of fair play, and that the win left a "sour taste in his mouth". The Mexican players were too embarrassed to even celebrate the win after the game. The Mexican Univision commentators were also disgusted by the call.
The Panama captain Roman Torres said that Panama will seriously considering forfeiting the third place game out of protest, but I doubt CONCACAF will let them do that. Keep in mind that Panama also had their best goalscorer controversially sent off in the 27th minute, and still managed to come within seconds of a win with 10 men.
It's just the worst possible situation for everyone involved, a massive blight on what has without question been the most entertaining and competitive Gold Cup ever. Mark Geiger is widely considered to the best American referee, but this game will really put that reputation in doubt. Every referee will make mistakes sometime, unfortunately for him, the whole world will see his. He may never get selected to officiate FIFA tournaments again.
I've found out that the playoff will be a one-off match in October somewhere in the US. If we fail to win it, US Soccer may very well fire Jurgen Klinsmann. Let's not forget we fired Bob Bradley for losing the final to arguably the best Mexico team ever in 2011. Today, we lost to an average at best Jamaica team in the semifinals. It's the first time we've lost at home in 26 games, and the first time we've lost at home to a Caribbean team since 1969! Most people on the planet weren't even alive then.

On one hand, I guess it's a great thing for CONCACAF that the Gold Cup is no longer a non-competitive tournament where all the teams besides the US and Mexico are just there for a vacation. The development of MLS has a lot to do with that. A ton of the players on these Gold Cup rosters play in MLS (other than Mexico, of course). If today's games doesn’t epitomize CONCACAF, I don’t know what does. They had it all. Set piece goals, horrible misses, outrageous penalty calls, bunker and counter tactics, full team skirmishes, and fans throwing garbage at players.
Forget about Messi and Ronaldo, we are witnessing CONCACAF at it’s peak - a true footballing spectacle.
So just take it in folks, because it doesn’t get better than this!

I am not convinced that a now Free El Chapo did not have a hand in the outcome. He has done it before.

Another joke.
Wondo is done
What a horrific showing. Everything from the actual game to the attendance was bad. Even the American outlaws didn't show up in full force. When your main fan base doesn't show it has to be deflating. That being said, suck it up and act like a professional athlete. Yedlin and dempsey seemed like the only ones really trying.
PLEASE STOP PLAYING CHANDLER.
Beasley's giveaways in the middle are getting OLD. Corona didn't play bad but didn't make many contributions. Ream was bad. Guzan was shaky and could have come out to grab a few more than he did. Why can't johannsson just score already? Beasley had an immediate impact. His experience really showed. He had one bad giveaway but other than that his calmness and intelligence really showed. He would have been helpful in the semis. I really hope that penalty wasn't his last touch in a usmnt uniform. That's not the way he should go. Man Zusi is SLOW. The goal was brilliant work from Yedlin. Hopefully he stays at Spurs and develops further.
Overall very poor performance. USA needs to learn how to play against big fast athletic teams who have desire like Jamaica and panama. Hopefully this is a wake up call for the team and JK.
If USA doesn't win the confed cup playoff I wouldn't be surprised to see JK getting fired.
......go Jamaica.....

Passing and ball control regressed in the last two games. It looked like a team that had never played together.

I actually was able to make it to this game. Here is what I saw...
Guzan is not very vocal in the back and it led to Ream getting hurt late in the game after using all 3 subs. Timmy Chandler is horrible and appears to be unfit. Brooks played the entire 2nd half and extra time limping due to some leg injury. Omar played hurt for a while at the end of the 1st half before coming out at the half. Ream didn't seem to get involved enough forward.
Fabian did well but seemed lost when he had chances to finish. Zusi doesn't seem dynamic enough in a lineup to tried constantly using the width. Corona constantly played short and didn't seem to have the vision to hit the strikers. Bradley has great vision from what I've seen every time I've seen him live.
Wondo basically made Johannsson play alone up top as he aimlessly ran around. Johannsson did well despite getting nothing from Wondo and seemed tired when Deuce came in.
Deuce brought a spark that we were clearly lacking. Yedlin has dynamic speed that was under-utilized because of Panama constantly putting 2 backs on his side. Beasley plays with a veteran's confidence and calmness. Megged a guy in front of us AO's and it was glorious.
JK is still the coach we need to take us further. I just hope he is done with this veteran experiment. Clearly bringing the young guys to the friendlies was a great idea.
BRING BACK CHARLIE DAVIES!

Mexico currently destroying Jamaica 3-0 in the 65th minute. Figured Mexico would turn it on at some point. No controversy here. This is the only knockout stage game Mexico has won legitimately. Mexico will be thoroughly undeserved 2015 Gold Cup champions.
Since it's Mexico, expect the playoff to be in the Rose Bowl, which is a huge advantage for Mexico. We'll have maybe 20% support at best in Southern California, so it might as well be at the Azteca.
If we don't win it, we need to find a new manager quickly while the cycle is still young.

Final 3-1. Mexico are champions.
Over time, Mexico fans will forget about the ridiculous calls that allowed them to even make the final and act like this is a legitimate championship. I will not.
Jurgen has two and a half months to prepare for one of the biggest games in USMNT history. Let's see what he does with it. No excuses this time.

A small consolation to the US: Clint Dempsey wins the Golden Ball and Guzan the Golden Gloves to a resounding chorus of boos by Mexico fans.
This tournament has really made me dislike Mexico fans. Just absolutely despicable behavior, and CONCACAF does nothing to stop them. The worst fans on earth. They make the hooligans in England from the 90s look like amateurs.

Panama deserved the championship and we're robbed of the cup. I do think Russian and Croatian fans may still be worse though Mexico is making it closer.

Mexican fans throw bags of urine, broken bottles, trash, etc at opposing players and fans. Eastern European LSU get in fights but I havnt heard of them throwing urine at people. That's the kind of stuff animals do... literally

Wow.
Hearing reports that Mexico has fired manager Miguel Herrera anyway, despite Mexico winning the Gold Cup.
Could potentially be good for the US, depending on who replaces him. Mexico traditionally struggles under new managers.
Really stupid move by FMF, in my opinion. They'll have a tough time getting any quality coaches now that they fire guys that even manage to win major tournaments.
