I humbly ask for the Louisiana soccer community to pray for Luke Burnham tonight and in the future. Luke is a member of the St. Louis Boys Soccer team. On Saturday, August 8, Luke was struck by a car while jogging in preparation for the Cross Country and Soccer seasons. Luke suffered severe head trauma, a fractured vertebrae, and a broken femur which all caused him to be airlifted to Baton Rouge for medical attention. His condition has not improved as much as everyone hoped. Luke is an incredibly kind hearted young man. Please join me in praying for Luke and his family.
Thank you,
Jason Oertling St. Louis Catholic

Luke had to have another emergency surgery yesterday to relieve the pressure on his brain. There has not been a lot of improvement in his condition, but we are still hopeful and praying. Thank you to everyone for their continued support.

For Luke
PRAYER God of Health and Wholeness, We gather this morning to pray For Luke Burnham as we desire for him to be restored to the balance of good health. We pray for a successful surgery and for the Medical staff who will be working with him so that, he may fully recover, and return with renewed zeal to the daily life that we share. LAYING OF HANDS Luke, with abounding hope and faith, We now place our hands upon you as we call forth the healing power of God. Divine Healer and Lord of Wholeness, Together we place ourselves in Your Hands. Give Luke and family peace of mind and renewed heart, Free him from fear and worry and give him Courage and hope. Bring healing to the weakened parts of his body and through this prayer comfort him with you Love and mercy. BLESSING Luke, may you be blessed With the power and love of God, And the affection of those who love you. We pray in Jesus name. Amen

Prayers from all the Beau Chene family. Hadn't been on laprep in a few days and just saw this. Always our greatest fear as coaches is the safety of all of our young men, who are like sons to us. Prayers for the young man and his family, the St Louis Family, and the coaches.

Is his dad a State Farm agent? I think I know him from a previous job.

Luke update 8/20/15
Thank you to everyone praying for Luke, you are his "three". (Mt. 18:20)
Luke had a quiet day today. We think he was up a good bit last night. Best news all day is they will wait til Monday to trach, doctors are optimistic this med will make him alert enough that he may not need a trach!
Jesus we trust in You! James Burnham

PRAYER WARRIORS Luke update 8/21/15
Luke was more alert today. The nurse called his name and he looked at her. He was also slightly flexing his arms. When Robin called his name he looked at her and moved his eye to follow her. His nurse said he was much more alert and they are pleased with his progress. Again baby steps but nothing backwards. Hoping for him to be even more alert tomorrow.
Thanking you all in advance for your prayers. They are truly working, we are seeing progress.
Jesus we trust in You! James Burnham
