Question: if there is no C-3, like in the older age groups, does C-2 become the Open Cup or continue as the President's Cup? Will they still allow RecSelect teams to play in the President's Cup tournament despite not playing in LCSL?

Participation in State Cup (C1), Presidents Cup (C2), and Open Cup for competitive teams lower than C2 requires participation in LCSL.

Participation in State Cup (C1), Presidents Cup (C2), and Open Cup for competitive teams lower than C2 requires participation in LCSL. You don't need the be in LCSL to play in the Open Cup. That's the point of th 'Open' part. As for ages that have no C3, there would still be an open cup in those ages, with only Rec teams and any select teams that did not play in LCSL, assuming there are enough teams apply.

I will simply repeat my earlier post. Only recreational teams are exempt from the requirement to have participated in league play.

If anyone on here thinks that LSA is going to leave a dime on the table, you are sadly mistaken. In the end, they will make their money, just like the clubs - it's just a business!

There were select teams registered for the rec state cup when there was a rec state cup.

My answer from Lsa on wether u11-13 teams realign for the spring season: U11-U13 brackets will change based on Fall results as we move into the Spring So c3 teams do have the chance to move up into c2.

By the same token, one could assume that the bottom finishing comp 2 team could be relegated to comp 3.
