Should be a good one. I have seen both of them play this season and mandi look to be the more aggresive side with a very fast and direct attack and st. Pauls a more possesing side but do not look as good as last season when it comes to taking care of the ball, lots of wing play. With number 8 For sps having a good match and finding his teammates movement, sps should come out with the win.

Should be a really interesting contest. It may take SPS a little time to jell as they replace 14 seniors from last year, at least 3 of whom played college soccer this fall. However, it's always a case of reloading at SPS as opposed to rebuilding, and their seven seniors this year (most of whom played extensively last season) are really strong. Mandeville may have one of their strongest teams in years this season, with 7 or 8 returning starters from last year and several defensive starters that play together in club ball as well -- plus one of the top forwards in the state, an outstanding GK, and a top midfielder who missed last season. No prediction here -- just hoping for a really good match.

From my angle, it looked like a wicked deflection to loop the ball over the keeper. The MHS keeper had a great game with 3-4 quality saves. Going to be a very interesting District game at MHS on the narrow, sloped field

Going to be a very interesting District game at MHS on the narrow, sloped field I think you are correct - I believe the shot went off the back of one of our defenders. Otherwise, I thought it was a pretty even match. Mandeville may have had better opportunities in the first half, but St Paul's had the edge in the second half. It will be a great district match in January!

It will be a great district match in January! Watched the entire match, and helped keep up with some of the stats.... not as close as i thought i would be. Mandeville had two shots on frame all match, (including just 1 in the first half), and conceded what looked like 70-30 possession in the second half with no real threats. However, they have a keeper that can keep them in ANY contest, and Delvin P. is a dangerous player that can turn a match in an instance. With that and the all around quality, Mandeville looks to be a side to be a serious threat to steal the district, and make a deep run at the end of the season.
