St.Pauls will be hosting Grace King this Friday at 5:00 at Hunter Stadium in Covington. Both teams agreed to play again after all the cancellations from last weekend. It was 3-0 two weeks ago but it was a closer contest than our last game and should be a good match. The new team is looking forward to playing before all the returning SPS alums.

I believe that Grace King defence was missing some varsity starters last game against St.Pauls. Even though St.Paul won 3-0 last game i believe this game Grace King will be more stronger.

the game wasn't as one sided as the score indicates... first half was pretty ugly, scrappy soccer with few good chances on either side. Any "good " chance was not created but the result of defensive lapses/errors. St.Pauls got a late first half goal from John Gardner off a great pass from Thomas Carrier. Both of these players are first time starters replacing two injured seniors. The second half, although St. Pauls scored 3, saw Grace King with a bit of possession, which resulted in a few long range shots. St.Pauls scored 2-3 really nice goals in the second half and had two called back. The best goal was the one that made it 2-0 when some nice one - touch passing got John G in behind the defense, he kept it a live with a beautiful tackle, popped up and squared it to Nash Odenwald on the back post. Nash had his best game of the season and created alot of chances for his teammates. Senior Austin Groeneveld also had another good game and drew himself a pk that he converted making him the Wolves leading scorer this season. St. Pauls plays a district game at home Monday vs. Covington at 7 before traveling to Gulfport friday night.
