So far this year there have been 104 reported red cards:
8 DGF (denying obvious goal scoring opportunity by foul) 5 DGH (handling to prevent goal) 33 2CT (two yellows) 20 VC (violent conduct/fighting) 11 SFP (serious foul play) 3 Taunting 24 AL (abusive language/gestures)
I am aware of at least 3 more which were never reported, 2 of which involve the same school.

Does anyone know how many games there have been?

Would you mind breaking down the abbreviations?
I'm guessing "SFP" is for serious foul play (elbows, dirty tackles, etc)? "2CT" is second yellow, maybe?
No idea on any of the others.
I wonder if red cards have gone down slightly now that the penalties for both player and school have been raised recently compared to before.
I've only seen 4 red cards in person (to my recollection) in the estimated 300 or so high school matches I've seen over the years. 1 red card for every 75 games is a pretty respectable rate. Maybe my experience has been an anomaly.

So far this year there have been 104 reported red cards: 8 DGF (last man foul) 5 DGH (handling to prevent goal) 33 2CT (two yellows) 20 VC (violent conduct/fighting) 11 SFP (serious foul play) 3 Taunting 24 AL (abusive language/gestures) I am aware of at least 3 more which were never reported, 2 of which involve the same school. What I think is more telling is that of these 104 cards, 102 were given by you...

For what things can a ref redcard a player after the game has concluded?

What association handles the Northshore? I witnessed one issued in a game in Mandeville (for AL to the ref), but I don't know if it's included -- or if there were any consequences.

Maybe my experience has been an anomaly. The one that you saw me give was violent conduct, due to the nature of that particular play.

I though the Northshore had their own organization (NISOA), but I stand corrected.

Says a lot for the sportsmanship of our student athletes.

Also I am very happy, and honestly, pleasantly surprised, to not be in that number. Knock on wood, I'm 0-28 this season. However I see pOkLE and beauchenecoach tomorrow, so that could change really fast.

Thank you. How about one more stat breakdown time2retire? Send offs separated by public school vs. private school? Since the separation seems to be a big issue with LHSAA. If you have time, seeing as you need to retire AND have no life.

Several of the Send Offs for AL stem from some players calling the referee the "B" word because they did not approve of his coin selection for the coin toss. Can you confirm this Waypasttime2retire?
