Saturday was an encouraging day for our young, future Nats.
US U-17 standout Christian Pulisic made his first official appearance for the Borussia Dortmund first team today in their Bundesliga match against Ingolstadt. Pulisic came into the scoreless match and made a solid impact in the midfield, as Dortmund scored twice to win 2-0. He was given a very good "7" rating in his debut. I truly believe he might be the first US player to finally star at a big European club. He has all the potential in the world to do so, and Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel values him very much. He will likely get lots of playing time this year, and hopefully become a fixture in the first team. Except him to play a major part for the senior national team this WC cycle, given our current lack of attacking talent.
US U-20 standout Matt Miazga has been sold by NY Red Bulls to Chelsea, where he will be a part of the squad for the remainder of the 2016 campaign. Hopefully he can prove himself and not end up getting loaned out like seemingly all of our young players in Europe do.
The US takes on a very solid Iceland team tomorrow at 2:45 CT on FS1.

Pulisic looked good today. Very much deserves to be playing at that level. I hope Miazga gets regular playing time.
