since you mentioned you have more data...
What association gave out the most red cards? which one had the most given out for abusive language/gestures?
What division had the most players red carded?
What division had the most coaches red carded?

Had a player get a RED for saying BS. Not yelling just said it. Had the same CR 2 more games and never even verbally cautioned any other player/coach for language. F-bomb and others. I agree the language needs to be dealt with but there has to be consistency.

What division had the most coaches red carded? It is somewhat unfair to look at the "most" because the biggest area will always have a greater chance of a higher raw number. And in this case that holds true, New Orleans had 30 overall, and 11 for abusive language/gestures. But distribution across the board appears normal for the number of schools each area serves. As far as division with the most players - that would take a long time to go through. But it can be done. Coaches - 7 from D1, 4 from D2, and 1 from D4. Some are on their 2nd red though.

I have had the same issue here too Coach- with players and coaches using inappropriate language to both officials and other players. Majority of the time it is not even addressed more or less cautioned or red carded.

Fair enough- I was just curious. I would be really interested to see the numbers for players per division. Thanks for taking the time to do the stats- much appreciated.

I agree the language needs to be dealt with but there has to be consistency. I had this conversation last night with someone. Because "opinion of the referee" can vary so greatly, to expect so many to have the exact same discretion is unrealistic. Individual consistency is a fair expectation.

Same game-
Coach A upset over a call goes onto field and is literally in the refs face. Couldn’t hear words from stands but his face was red so I’m pretty certain they were heated. Was on the field at least 3-4 minutes. No card given
Coach B asks ref from sidelines at play stoppage to watch player #whatever as he was fouling off the ball. Not sure if exact wording but I was told there was no cursing from several players. Coach B was told if he heard anything else, it would be a card.
Again, I understand that some refs may overlook things because it’s not as big of a deal to them as it is to other refs. I can even understand maybe a ref having a bad day outside and something hitting him wrong. They are human.
However this was same game. I think it may have been reported but can’t apeak to that. It was a couple of years back.
