Application is just for one team right?

Application is just for one team right? I don’t follow. Membership application is for each team (boys and girls). Each team may choose to register as many coaches as it pleases. When it comes to voting, each school can only cast 1 ballot per team. So if West Jeff boys pays for two coaches to be lhssca members, only one of them gets to vote. Edit: ooh, maybe you mean — do you have to register separately for both teams if you coach both? No, there’s an option for “Boys & Girls.” Select that one of you coach both programs. No need to sign up/pay twice.

Please edumacate me on the process for all state honors. I did not want to hijack on the other thread. My understanding from the other thread is nominations (2) must be made by a coach or designated surrogate of a HS program that is a registered member of LHSSCA. But additional members from the school may be registered and eligible to nominate and vote. I’m a little unsure about the former and completely unsure about the latter. Also there is a deadline for the process. I am guessing there is a first team and second team plus an honorable mention list and that the final voting takes place sometime after the state finals. Also a vote (or 2 votes?) only can be only made to players in the voter’s division. How is the district honors established? Enquiring minds want to know.

My application was accepted and I only paid about $3.50. Little known fact: we give discounts to Timaeus for Prez ‘16 supporters.

Also a vote (or 2 votes?) only can be only made to players in the voter’s division. How is the district honors established? Enquiring minds want to know. District honors are determined by each district. The method and manner of selection varies from district to district. Most the area/city teams involve the media, either as part of the selection process or as a means to convey coaches’ selections. Neither recognition is technically required for All-state. Schools can nominate as many players as it wants — most realize (or later learn) that nominating too many can end up hurting even the best player’s chances. During nomination process, coach decides whether he/she is nominating that player for an MVP award. Any coach may nominate; only lhssca coaches may vote. Schools may register as many of its coaches as it wants in the lhssca. But each program only gets one voter for all-state.. Each voter has to vote for the MVPs, X number of total players (and there’s usually limits on how many from each position — e.g., I don’t get to select 14 forwards), and a coach of the year.

Does this group have any kind of formal interaction with LHSOA (officials) or.? Yes, I yell at referees on behalf of the lhssca. But seriously, what do you mean by “formal interaction”?

Jeremy--
Any chance you could create a new registration form for this year and post it on this thread?

Signed up and paid too. I don’t have access to LHSSCA LaPrep threads or any other benefits promoted in the sign up. I have messaged / emailed with no response.
