LSA really screwed up in my opinion. U18 girls was scheduled to play two games each on Sunday. Saturday night at 8:45- our manager got a call that they were canceling our age group because of expected weather despite saying they would make efforts to make decisions by he Thursday and message on the home page that the tournament was on. She quickly sent messages as we had girls at proms etc. 15 minutes later they wanted us to come play one game because one team was in Baton Rouge in hotels. Unless Baton Rouge got completely different weather than Lafayette, it wasn’t an issue. I’m glad we didn’t waste money on hotels but I feel for the team that did. This is our last year with LSA but their organization and decision making needs work.

Halves were shortened from 35' to 25' in our U13B bracket and all games were going on as scheduled. I understand halves being shortened to save wear and tear on the fields but our 3pm finals still had shortened halves which I found absurd. Sun and 15-20mph winds had everything dried out by that time. Even in the morning the neutral ground between fields showed no significant accumulation of rain runoff. The ground soaked it all up.
