My prediction for Div I 1 SSA 2 Byrd 3 Mandeville 4 West Monroe 5 Acadiana 6 Dominican 7 Northshore 8 Mt. Carmel 9 St Joes 10 Lafayette 7-8-9 all will be close and could easily switch spots. It mostly depends on how Mt. Carmel finishes. Baton Rouge could finish 10. Is it correct that whoever wins SSA vs Mandeville will be 1 seed? What happens in event of a tie?

If Mandeville wins it will be close but I think Byrd finishes 1. Tie will be mean SSA finishes 1 but Byrd will be close.

I think that one happens, looks like Loyola goes to Mandy for 11am game, then gets in the bus and drives to Alexandria and plays HS Menard at 530. Long day for a team locked in first

3balz and JStewart,
Did you guys have Northshore playing all 3 of their remaining district games?

I’m thinking:
1. Byrd 2. SSA 3. Mandeville 4. West Monroe 5. Acadiana 6. Mt Carmel 7. Dominican 8. St Joe 9. Northshore 10. Baton Rouge 11. Lafayette
My big upset pick is Mt Carmel over Dominican. Anything could happen in that game though.

I'll take a shot at D II but I am not as familiar with the teams. 1st 3 are locked. Current 4-5 could go either way but I would give an edge to Destrehan. Sam Houston vs Deridder will be big for Sam Houston. 8-9 Winner get a trip to STM buzzsaw. 1 St. Thomas More 2 Lakeshore 3 Neville 4 Destrehan 5 Central Lafourche 6 Ouachita Parish 7 Houston, Sam 8 Caddo Magnet 9 Franklin, Ben 10 Live Oak The winner of 7-10 doesn't get much of a reward either. A date with Lakeshore.

Don’t know much about Holy Savior Menard, Leesville, or DeRidder, but if Pineville wins those it looks like that could keep Byrd at 1.. it doesn’t look like Pineville can make the playoffs unless the principals of LHSAA in all their wisdom change the brackets to 32 teams. If you’re Holy Savior Menard, Leesville, or DeRidder do you want to risk lowering your seeding playing Pineville in a non-district game?

Deridder likely beats Pineville and it will help them. Thats the problem with trying to project the final seeding. There's a lot of manipulation that goes on and it affects so many other teams.

Deridder does likely beat Pineville. They also play Sulphur tomorrow and pineville Saturday then finish the 28thwith Sam Houston whom they tied earlier in season. With 9-11 pretty tight Deridder needs to finish strong. Ideal place would be 11th where if they win in first round they probably play Menard who they beat 2 weeks ago. Could be a sleeper.
