Yup 12 players...looks like after a goal was scored a player came on but no one exit and play went on for 5 minutes or more before it was caught. The refs huddled for a very long period and then issued a yellow card and the additional “12th player” walked off.

I recommend just taking the L and trying again next year. Unfortunately it appears you all may struggle in D2.

Brutal indeed. Great run for both squads. It’s ashamed that Lhsaa only can train and pony up pennies to have such uneducated yahoos call these important HS games. #12th man.

Thank you for your insight Nostradamus... we will compete quite nicely next year in Div II we lose 1 senior starter. Have a good evening.

12 on the field. That's going to affect the number of attacking transitions Just trying to imagine what was going through the 12 player's mind during that time. Almost comical...
"wait, I thought I was playing R back". "no, you're playing wing". "No, Sarah is!". "Oh hell, I'll just go play midfield. No one will notice"

I don't want to take credit away from Tuerlings. They capitalized on their opportunities and their goalie played a great MVP worthy game. They deserved to win the game based on that. The 12 players in my opinion did not affect the outcome of the game based on when it happened in the game.

Loyola Prep Boys scored 3 goals in 7 minutes last night so 5 or so minutes can mean a lot. I think there was a missed penalty in the first half where the ref allowed play on. If Vandy player goes down on foul ref has to call it. This call could have changed the momentum. It just wasn't Vandy's night. Congrats to Teurlings on the Championship and to the Vandebilt girls for a great season.

It’s pretty tough to break through 11 players AND a goalie.

After rewatching the film from the final the 12th player came on after the 3rd goal was scored. Watched both goals, before and after, and both were scored with 11 players. The center then beckoned on the subs right after the goal was scored. But still doesn’t excuse why the 4th official missed this when he is in charge of subs and bench management.
