I am just looking for some info if it can be provided. I seem to remember that WM and Ruston have already played one district game this year and I believe Ruston won? Has the rematch been played yet? If not, when is it, and if so, what was the score? Thanks in advance.

Ruston beat WM by 2-0 (same score as last time). Ruston scored both goals in the 38 to 40 minute of the first half when WM was trying to pack the defense in order to go into halftime with a tie.
The rest of the game was very tight and sometimes a little more physical than expected in this area. The ref let them play and a few players took advantage of it- mostly #10 & 7 on Ruston and #11 on WM.
It is just a shame that WM can not score, or at least control the ball enough to let the defense rest a little.

Is Jake Vezinat still involved as a coach at West Monroe?
What is West Monroes record at this point, and who have they beaten/lost to/tied?
Any other info would be nice.

West Monroe is an average team. They play a defencive minded game where the defence just kicks the ball up to the forwards or they at least try. Jackson Hinton is a good player. There is a black guy that is pretty good because he is very fast and he can get past a lot of defenders. West Monroe will probably get out in the first round in the playoffs because they don't have enough talent but they had a pretty good season.

I agree that WM is average. Hinton is a very good player that has not really had a great year. The black kid had to quit because of band, he had speed - not much skill, # 7 is a very good stopper and has been put on the other teams best offensive player most games, so as long as they have just one -they usually shut the other team down or at least limit it to one. #11 has speed and doesn't back down. #5 has come on at defense, but still makes too many mistakes. WM just does not control the ball much. Their defense has the ball on their end the huge majority of the time and still does not allow many goals, with the exception of SF - who has 5 or 6 very agressive players that love to score. I believe they still had a winning record overall, and their shining moment was tieing CAddo Magnet in a tournament (1 to 1). Their biggest loss was to SF, I think 8-0, but the huge majority of their games were determined by 1, no more than 2 goals. They probably average less than 1 goal scored per game. Their most talented offensive player (other than Hinton) was Nugent and he did not score a goal this year.

West Monroe's coach is Chris Barron - been there four or five years.

Jake Vezinat coaches the wm girls team, but also stops by to help the boys out from time to time....Wm has had a very good season until running in to St. Freds, and you went on a downspirral since then but plays sf again tommorrow, so hopefully the outcome will be better than the last

Well it probably will be better.
Some of the SF starters may not be playing/starting due to the fact that we play our first playoff game this Thursday.
I (the sweeper) am not going to play because of a healing knee
Our starting goalie will not start and there's a possibility he may not play.
Not sure yet of who else may not play or start...
It's rough having a game just two days before the first playoff game...

I am very sorry ya'll will not be at full strength but having a playoff game is a lot more important than this game. WM playoff game is Sat I think, so they may rest some people too, but maybe not.
The most important thing is getting your knee better. I hope everything will be ok with it. Playing sweeper gets a lot of people running into it form the side, so wear a brace if you can.
Good Luck

Saint Frederick 1 - West Monroe 0
The score requires some explaining:
Our (St. Fred's) sweeper (me) out resting knee...our leading goal scorer played sweeper in my place, our backup goalie played the whole game to get practice(played awesome) , our starting goalie played forward 3/4 of the game, our starting center midfielder didn't play for half the second half, and our second string wing midfielder played the whole game at right fullback due to our starting fullback not bein able to be there tonight. Good effort by both teams. Better luck against SF next year, West Monroe!

That's a lot of people playing out of place. And you still beat West Monroe? West Monroe isn't at all a powerhouse but playing about 5 starters out of position and a couple of starters not even playing. That's pretty good if you ask me. Congrats on the win sfdefense.

now don't get such a big head now sf, wm dominated the whole game and made one screw which caused a goal, wm took at least 50 shots whereas sf, about 5 our starting goalie wasn't here and our right defended was here either...it was a well played game from both teams, but wm did dominate the 2nd half, we just don't have any forwards that can score

Haha, fifty shots huh... wm took about 6 shots that were from 18 yards and in. The SF defense limited them to petty shots from 25 yards out. Also, SF had at least 6 to 8 legitamate shots from their GOALIE, which was playing against your right defender. He actually scored the only goal. And by dominating the game do you mean getting the ball and kicking it up field as fast as you can and getting no where? Hopefully ya'll will improve by next year.

What I saw was a SF team if it had all it's players and a WM if it had all it's players - SF is a better team because of it's ability to score, but SF is not 8-0 better, but definately better. Holding WM to 0 even out shooting SF is nothing unusual for WM.
#10 of SF is a very good player, in my opinion their best, but they have three or four more players that can score given a little hole. SF defense has speed and good legs, but they did miss sfdense at sweeper, #7 is an offensive player that likes to dominate the ball, where he did play good, it was obvious that he felt uncomfortable and miss kicked several balls when he was trying to just get it out instead of trapping and controlling. #17 played against the backup defense #22 most of the night and #22 being a FR had a tuff time staying up and had to get help. WM had the starting goalie, right defender out and the fastest player on their team (the black forward) quit a couple of weeks ago because of band committment - they went to Bush's Ing. in Washington. The goal hit the backup goalie in the hands and it came out when the hit the ground and went directly in front of the goal. NOW FOR THE PLAYOFFS - GOOD LUCK TO SF AND WM, LET'S ALL HOPE THAT WE GET TO SEE OUR PART OF THE STATE REPRESENTED - DEEP INTO THE PLAYOFFS. IF WM CAN'T I HOPE SF CAN - FOR THAT MATTER, NEVILLE - RUSTON-RIVER OAKS, I JUST HOPE SOME TEAM CAN MAKE US STAY INTERESTED DEEP INTO THE PLAYOFFS. GO NORTH LA. SOCCER

yeah all that good luck NELA stuff is great. BUT the bottom line, to all the WM people posting, SF's starting goalie scored on you. I don't care who was playing goal...that's bad. You did not dominate the game. An SF defense, WITHOUT THEIR 3 YEAR STARTING SWEEPER AND THEIR STARTING LEFT FULLBACK AND WITH A BACKUP GOALIE, still held you scoreless. The faster black guy on your team from the first game was no help for your team when he was there. He couldn't score either. You had ONE OR TWO decent shots. One hit the post, but the SF goalie was there if it didn't. In fact, the SF goalie smothered every shot or attempt at a shot that your team had. Check your eyesight. SF dominated the game, not WM.
