What really should have been said and ALL that should have been said by the DHS players, about the DeRidder / Parkway game was , both teams played thier hearts out. It was a very physical game, as any playoff game should be. A lot of emotion from two teams fighting to move on to the next round. DeRidder took advantage of the chances they had by working hard and being in the right place at the right time. We scored 3 mins. in and again about 13 mins. in. Then again in the second half about 10 mins. in. Parkway scored on a great set piece from #7 (I think) late in the game. He played a ball about a 30 yds. perfectly onto his forward who played it into the goal with his head. Parkway had several excellent players, #7 was terrific with the ball and #2 was very, very fast and extremely strong physically. Thier coaches had them well prepared to play even while missing some key players to thier team. The referee's did a good job considering the pace and emotion of the game. I would hate to have to play again any time soon and now we will probably play a very strong team from Loyola, unless Bolton can pull an upset. Good Luck All.

I don't think that people should get on here and talk about how good their team is. If your team is good then you should not have to come on here and defend yourself. Show it on the field and people will shut thier mouth. (Maybe it's just me.)

deridder lost to WM at the pineville tournament in the beginning of the year. the field were basically just straight mud and it wasnt really soccer being played. they by no means have an easy game against loyola, and need to prove that they deserve recognition by beating them.

none of the goals were luck...they weren't any that like someone hit from 40 yards out and hit someone in the back and went in...one was an own goal which it would have gone in anyway..it was a nice shot...the next goal was a freekick that the guy just floated in and the goalie should have gotten to it but didn't...and the last goal was a pretty good goal..it was a nice shot...our goal was a nice header sent in by todd faulkinberry who hit in a nice ball from about 30 yards

Everyone from Deridder on this post seems to think that they can play to anyones level so I am interested to see who they have beaten. I am not familiar with yalls schedule so please inform me.

well, deridder hasnt lost since the louisiana showcase of soccer, but they havent played much competition. the only non-district games they have played since then are redemterous and bolton, they beat bolton 2-0 and redemterous 6-1 and 4-0. They were controlling possession early in the season every game but had problems putting the ball in the net
